Looking for the secret character/boss codes to make them playable. From the codes I've found, I am a little upset at the fact that you have to input the code EVERY time you want to play as one of them. I wish it would be like in KOF97 when you enter it, their portriat comes up and they are selectable. I don't want to have to enter this over and over again. I guess I'll have to live with it.

you may use the Unibios (dev mode) or the Debug bios

I have this on my AES, but I can't figure out how to select the characters. I enter the development screen and select devel.mvs, but nothing shows up on the character select screen. What do you have to do to get the characters using the debug bios? Any help much appreciated.

p.s. I searched the forums but didn't find instructions on how to do this properly, so I'm not purposely trying to ask redundant questions. Thanks.

Ok here is how it works..

If you have an AES with standard BIOS the hidden bosses are still hidden... you cannot select them.

If you have an AES with debug bios the hidden bosses will be automatically enabled so you can select them as long as you are running in AES mode and devmode is enabled (does not work in MVS mode).

If you have an MVS with debug bios the hidden bosses will be automatically enabled so you can select them as long as you are running in AES mode and devmode is enabled (does not work in MVS mode).

If you have a UNIVERSE BIOS the hidden bosses will be seletable so long as you are running in AES mode and have dev mode enabled (option with debug dips).

All the above works the same on dedicated SVC pcb, bootleg MVS carts and the original AES carts.

Thats about all I know so far. There may be other codes to get them in MVS mode but not sure yet. I will try and add a cheat to the UNIVERSE BIOS v1.3 (when its released) so you can select the hidden characters in both AES and MVS mode without having to use joystick codes).

Ok, now I know why I didn't think it was working before. After reading the response cdnarian got for me, I went and tried it out. It turns out, if you have the Debug bios, all you have to do is boot up in Debug mode and you are all set to go. The reason I thought nothing was happening is because there is no avatar for the hidden characters, I was just looking at the select screen for them and saw nothing....doh(slaps head). Its just crazy how easy it is now, and its great having every single character from the start....Dan fucking rules!
