Just thought I'd let you guys know that there's a new release out now. Most of the graphics have been updated and are now in English.

I just now noticed this thread, and all your projects, including the CFC2 translation. Wow, good work, I'm amazed you have put in the time and energy to complete all of this. It's incredible. Make sure you keep that website running, I want to print all of the cards and get the CFC2 translation, I just can't really do it right now.

Oh I'm sure Flav will keep his site up for quite some time... as for my site the cards will also be left up for quite a while. I really need to get around to working on it a bit more for the DS series.

Thanks Tehcno and Caleb. I don't plan on taking the blog site down. Even if I stop updating it, I don't see a reason to remove it. If the drop.io file repository ever dies, I'm sure you'll be able to ask around for the files.

Thanks guys. Is there anyone that's actually played through the entire translation, yet?

While I haven't gotten every card, I have, in fact, beaten the game. Now I play a round or two every day trying to get some cards.

I recently purchased a slot one card for my DS and have been playing it on that.

That's cool. It's nice to know that people are using the DS version, too. I wasn't sure anyone would bother with it. I still haven't beaten it, myself. I played through a lot of it a few years ago on my NGPC flash cart. Since the recent translation effort has completed, I haven't worked much on finishing it. I need to, though.

Flavor, I just want to thank you for the fruits of your (and your team's) hard work! After the utter disappointment of CFC DS, I remembered that there was a CFC2 fansub announcement and am really impressed with the results! Great job!

Quick question: I can play this on PSP and DS, but prefer the DS. Any way of getting your customized RACE DS build for CFC2E to be not horizontally scaled out like you have in your 'regular' RACE DS emulator? Is there a way to get to the options? I would love to play the game at the regular square 1:1 160x152 pixel ratio.

Once again, excellent work. Especially grateful for the very interesting technical discussion in your interview at Game Set Watch. Wow, you are famous now! I urge any of our members to check it out:

I've had a few people ask for this. Basically, when I had it original sized, I had problems centering it on the screen. I thought it looked pretty bad stuck on the left side of the screen and not using the rest of the screen. It's a pretty easy change to put it back to 1:1 on the left side of the screen. If someone else wanted to take a crack at centering it, that'd be fine. There's a guy that I gave the DS source code to recently. Maybe I should ask him if he can try working that out.

Yup, I'm just waiting for the money to start rolling in. Shouldn't it have started by now? I'm sure it's just a slow season for the mail or something. :loco:

A guy called "drunkenmaster226" on YouTube just let me know that he put up an 8+ minute video of the start of CFC2 English Edition. It shows the intro with credits/greetings and then starts a new game and plays one match. Check it out and post the link elsewhere if you think anyone else might be interested in it.

nice work btw, just wondering what's up with the top and bottom line of pixels on your emulator? get some weird static type effect. doesn't take away from gameplay, just odd.

Are you talking about the PSP version? If so, yeah, I know about that, but I don't know why it does that. I chose a weird video mode so that I wouldn't have to use software to stretch the image. The side-effect is that static, but, like I said, I dunno why.

I'm sure there are other PSP developers that could figure it out. RACE is really the only PSP dev I've done.
