Gone is the anime intro and back to the broody GBA Castlevania style artwork. I like it. Intro is very visual novel like.

I hope the Japanese voices are retained in this installment just as they did for Portrait of Ruin. I was not too chuffed that some of the Japanese voices from Dawn of Sorrow was axed for no apparent reason. The Japanese release Sogetsu no Jyuujika had the entire Japanese voice acting.

Rumor has it that a 2D Vania's in the works for a Wii.

Dunno. Iga said in that same interview that he still don't think that the series is suitable fo Wii.

I say fuck this, make it for the Wii with classic controllers. I never wanted to move the wiimote to whip anything, anyway.

I'd be happy if they gave you a choice with the voices, but I was actually surprised that I prefered the English voices a lot more than the Japanese ones in Portrait of Ruin. The Japanese voices seemed a bit weird to me.

Can't wait for this game to come out... the trailer looks very cool.

From kotaku:
"While Konami Castlevania dude Koji Igarashi has expressed hesitance about the Wii and the Wii-mote in the past, apparently he's warmed up to the Nintendo platform! Comic book mag Preview has let it slip that the franchise is getting a Wii title released this fall. The info slipped while Preview was giving the skinny on the PR campaign for the comic based on PS2 game Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, stating the the comic book will be "cross-promoted with 2008 video game releases, which include games for Nintendo Wii and DS (Fall 2008)". Unconfirmed and unsurprising, really."

Yup.
Now, will this be a full-blown game or WiiWare...

probably full-blown. And use the wii-mote for some gay-ass whip motion. God help us.

I'm already hating games using the wiimote and stylus.

Normal controller, please

I would love to see a 2D castlevania on the Wii but A) I am not holding my breath that it will be 2D and B) If the only control option is to wave around the remote then I will flush my Wii down the biggest toilet I can find.

Man the info they had on this game in the new Nintendo Power really got me excited. They are really going back to the classic format it sounds like. I can't wait.
