You misunderstand me, I'm talking about the Action card, 'Arrows of Fortune,' not Orochi Shermie's ability. Her ability is different, it drains the opponent's white Force points. Kagami is great. I can get him out on Turn 1 easily just by dumping 2 card. Sometime only one if I have Lode Ran's Action card 'Holy Star."

I don't like using Tam Tam as a red Force battery, mainly because not only is he weak at 200 bp, but he also costs 1R to play. From my experience I can wing it even without oodles of red Force generation, and that has panned out -- I run straight Red/Blue without the yellow Force engines. Since everyone just got this game, and there's that potentially game breaking bug, I'm gonna hold off posting my deck until SNKP irons out this problem.

AH, I get it now...I did misunderstand.

I'm REALLY not into throwing away 2 cards in order to play one unless it's to get mudman out (since I'm good on force for the rest of the turn and fight after his power). Used to use holy star, but got away from it, before I started focusing on the rush...might have actually compliment my rushing nicely, though. I dug Kagami, but I just couldn't justify the commitment to blue that putting him in the deck demands or the force cost...I'm pretty picky about any character card that needs more than 2 force to play. I've also gotten away from the force batteries since the 1 white cards I mentioned usually pan out better...still leave them in the deck in case something awful happens which can only be fixed by launching some kind of "kill everyone" action card, which rarely happens. Just thought you were running into force generation problems with red, so I suggested using tam tam...

I just returned the game since I got stuck on jon, was tiring of rushing, and the EB guy was nice enough to take it back since it was in like new condition. Guess I won't have much to contribute to the thread, from now on.

I've never had problems with throwing cards away because I played Shadowfist, which encourages card discard to draw a new hand at the beginning of each turn, and especially not now in CFC DS since it's for a good cause (1 card discard= 1 Force point).

The game is broken, huh? Well, this gives me an excuse to go back to the Final Fantasies, I guess. How sad...

Hello everyone,

After a careful analysis by the game’s programmers and after reviewing the reported bug encountered when meeting John on level 9 we, SNKP USA, have decided that the best action is to offer a replacement cartridge. We will order new repaired DS cartridges from Nintendo that will take approximately six weeks to receive. As soon as we receive the replacement cartridges we will give instructions as to where to mail your DS cartridge to receive a replacement. We apologize for this programming error and will correct it as soon as possible. Please do not return your game to the store of purchase. We will do an exchange program as soon as the new game paks arrive from Nintendo. Please continue to visit our website for updated information. We will update this announcement as soon as we are able to plan a date for the exchange to begin.

Thank you,

Ben Herman

Where the hell do you get the hayate card to advance past the 7th floor? In the packs of cards? Ive bought so many and I still dont have any of the cards to trade to the 4 guys on the lower floor.

On the 1st floor where there are 4 kids who offers to trade cards, if you keep trading with the kid on the bottom, she will eventually offer to trade you a Hayate card for the common card you have. That's the easiest way I've gotten Hayate. I'm not too hot on the card's ability, but I guess it's the flexibility that makes Hayate alright.

That sucks. Now I'm going to have to start over. I think I'll quit playing for now until the new game ships. That means no matches for the gathering.

Go to the floor right under her, talk to the one guy who has a "french accent". If not him, then just ask every blonde haired person on that floor. If it's not that floor then talk to the people under that floor.

One of them just gives you the card. No trading, not battling.

I'm surprised penny arcade hasn't done a comic on this yet.

Glad they are replacing the cart. Sucks that I have to stop playing since all progress will be lost since they are replacing the cart. Would be F"ing awesome if they could transfer your save data to the new cart.

Everybody hates on this game, but I bet it would be awesome to play this with ad-hoc Wi-Fi multiplayer. Has anybody tried yet?

Oh yeah, he gives you a Hayate card too. The Japanese original text suggest that these characters in the prep school uniform are German though, with names like Hans and Franz :emb:

Personally I think the card mechanic is excellent. Balanced with all kinds of different deck possibilities. You need to fess up though, how did you get a friend code? Since the AI is so impossibly incompetent, running all matches like it was a rushdown, it makes the battles a tad monotonous.

He just made it up.

Because otherwise he would have told us so that he could put his friend code to use
