I mostly agree with people on the proper strats, but my games last about 3 turns on average with 2 turns being somewhat frequent. I'm big on the discount characters, but i also have some powerhouses that I put in there to deal with random stuff or get deployed by the cheaper "force battery" type characters. I only have 1 card that lets me draw more cards, but I hardly use it...just bad hand insurance to me. I can imagine some counters to it, but with the current pool of cards that I'm pulling from, but a counter deck would only win maybe 20% of the time...
Seperating the BP from the HP is a great move, in theory...the problems with the balance is more a function of the cards, rather than the system. Still I think it's no more broken than CFC was-- its just that the system makes broken easily attainable in a weekend of vigorous play...my CFC deck was more or less invincible with (triple krauser, yashiro, akuma, yamazaki, etc.) and I usually won in 3-5 turns there too, but it took much longer to aquire the right cards than it does on DS.
One of the nastiest things I've come across is mudman's ability to give you 10 force if you spend your last force activating his power. I've done 1800 damage turn 2 by having mudman let me deploy high cost cards on turn one... So, yeah, low cost is where its at and fusions don't even play a major part unless someone can survive the rush.

My deck is mainly red and white with some green and blue thrown in (Mia Fey and ton pooh are SO broken...). Raizo could also be the key to a good rushing deck if you could get enough green to deploy some characters then activate them with his ability on the first turn in a reliable manner. Uncounterable Butt works petty well too, especially if you can get him some buffs first...
My mini-review would be that it's a fun game, but it's not really a sequel to the NGPC games...All the mispellings and confusing of Ryu and Ryo just drive home the point that this isn't the old SNK. If you're willing to put in the effort to remember what the cards really do, you're not really looking for an epic tale of card playing, and you don't play these types of games very often then the game's worth a look...doubly so if you have people to play multiplayer against.
