I don't think so. While the ZZ2 is a lighter car, the S7 Twin Turbo (750 hp) would not be that far behind and I would even be willing to bet that the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo could win depending on the course.

0-60 in 2.8 seconds for the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo. :D
it would be a good race... i say we propose the two companies go head to head on infineon for three races at 50 laps each and then in suzuka for 50 laps for three races. then a final decider race on nurnburgring 10 laps. like a world series type of event except between saleen and tommy kaira

no, saturn has kept a pretty sporty image.

gm built some drag sedan's just for fun and as PR.

their sport coupe's have always been stylish , albeit a lil underpowered and conservative.

For me the Saturn name will never do anything for me. I hardly consider it a car company.

They need to power their engines more they're so stupidly week

The Satrurn Sky is just a rebadged Pontiac Solstice, and it is a roadster not a coupe. ;)

Yep, both are roadsters. However, I heard Pontiac was making a coupe version of the Solstice (and for a lower price of course) as well!

I saw some pics of an 800 hp. Saturn drag car.

The new Ecotec can really pump out some ponies with a decent bottom end it seems.

I only wonder how bad the torque steer is...

my friend owns a plymouth duster, he wants to put a dodge ram 360 engine in it. he then wants to put on twin turbo, a manual transmission. racing chip, intercooler, and then all the rest is going into the suspension. he wants to have a duster drifter.

I'm staying as far away from that shit as I can.

No bodykit, stickers, tint , wing or anything in that category.

Saturns dont need power. They do what they're supposed to do. Be cheap and plastic, and last as long as plastic does.

All the saturns i have known, lasted rather long time.

Anyway, the Sky is a nice looking "roadster"

I am looking at all sorts of rides right now tho. Gonna go try one the newer TBirds. I hear they are weak, but it's something different for sure.

They look like "old people" cars... not worth the money either, even though they have a unique engine.

No performance either.

So whats the point of owning one?

see what you should do with that jap 4-banger is drive it off a bridge and get a real car with real power and not some stupid rice rocket.

well first of all your little accord no matter how much souping up you can do to it couldn't ever beat a T-bird, secondly you souped up a fucking accord you're the one who has no idea of what performance is. go add a wing to your accord, even out the tire wear on that front wheel drive beast. you're pushin maybe 150 on a car that's heavy and useless with that three speed automatic tranny. slap some type-r stickers on there, hell even a hemi sticker just for kicks you know that gives you like 50 horses.

don't doubt 4 cylinders.

You don't need 8 cylinders to be fast I'll leave those size engines for trucks but when it comes to sport You can get premium automobiles with 4-6 cylinder engines.

Thugh I wont lie 8 cylinder sport cars can be freaking amazing too, but I myself prefer handling over speed. I want to fly around corners more than go foward at 200 MPH just a preference though I see both sides though

Recently found probably my favorite new Roadster

Z8

car_bmw_015.jpg

And another amazing car by BMW

M Roadster

car_bmw_052.jpg

I love BMWs car design every time I think I've seen it all with them I find a car that came out I missed and once again fall in love. BMWs are gorgeous and are a blast to drive. I've had the joy of driving a Z3 very often in the past few years and it's just amazing. Such a responsive car and such wicked acceleration. The car with only about 200hp maybe less can pull 120-140 in a pretty fast fashion.

The Z3 roadster model was the pinnacle of BMWs Roadster designs along with the Z8 these are two freaking amazing automobiles.

Though the Z4 is faster and more agile and beats the it's older brother in every way it can hardley compare with it's oversized body.

i'll defend saturns conservative design over Honda's.

they are both blah, but saturn is slighty contemporary over honda sedans.
neither are meant to be powerhouses. Saturns are cheap too.
Cheap buys what you pay for....

In all honesty, all standard sedans are a friggin joke ...especially compared to my lincoln's interior. All i see in cars now are cheap molded plastic parts. i hop into a grandprix and see cheap plastic all over. Hell, most sedans have fake wood panels all over too.

You really are a fucking idiot, arent you?

My Accord weighs 250lbs more than a Type-R Integra...

You have no clue about the CB7, do you?

Just an ignorant hillbilly... thats all you are.

You know NOTHING about cars.

If I told you there was an Accord at the track yesterday, running 11's on an ALL MOTOR setup and street legal, would you believe me?

Have you no idea it is to grab a 14b turbo and manifold off a DSM and bolt it right up to my F22 head?

You know I can run 12's with that, right?

You know an H22A1 will drop right into the Accord, and give me 190whp with plenty of room to work with.

You know I have one of the STRONGEST engines that Honda has ever made?

My head swap will give me 60hp to the wheels...

Then once my block is sleeved, and all of my internals are in... I'll come down to your adobe and run you in ANYTHING you can scrounge up.

Dumbass.

yeah whatever drive that shit off a cliff and get something with real power. give me all the "ignorant hillbilly" trash you want it still doesn't make the accord or all the money you've dropped into it cool. for what you're spending to mod that piece you could get a real car with real power not a damn honda.

now in all seriousness. you have your views and i have mine and we've both stated ours and i don't want this thread to turn into a flame mess and end up in the warroom so lets just agree to disagree.

I never understood the Honda thing either. For the same amount of money, I could have a car that ran harder, looked better, and was easier to service.

But again, each to his own. I know a guy in OKc who owns a Trabant and a Citroen 4V. Both are pretty cool in their own collective right, but I wouldn't spend the amounts of money he did on them, but it's his money, right?

The hardest part about owning a Citroën 2CV or any older Citroëns is the fact that almost nobody knows how to repair them around here. :crying:

exactly. i was talking to this french guy who came by my work and he was telling me about the peugeot 206 he has at his house that he can't drive cause one it wont pass emissions standards, two he doesn't have it insured, and three he doesn't want to drive it and then have to hunt down someone who can fix it.

I loved watching him drive that tiny Trabant, blue smoke chasing him.
