and cheap!

When the porsche engine dies, there are a few kits out there to drop a different mill in although right now I'm not sure what the particulars are. I wouldn't use a 914 in any competition but I would have one as a summer fun car.

I'd jump on this but I'm saving to replace my car with what will probably be a TSX.
i know some 914 owners around here. they all seem generally pleased, though it like other old porsches is a lot of work to keep going.

Probably because they're VWs.

If I see a lease that looks reasonable in the next 7 months, I might seriously consider an X6 --but I doubt I'll find one. I do appreciate that they decided to make their own version of the FX35. Of course, I could hate the test drive, but if it drives like a car and not like their bleh SUV I'll be happy.

Good choice, I'm actually really warming up to the vehicle myself. Especially since it's going to have an I6 diesel in the future from what I hear!

Looking for a Liberty CRD.

I wouldn't bother. They're crap. Most (if not all) are automatic and all decked out so it negates the good gas mileage you could be getting.

The VM Motori diesel is bulletproof, and I can get a low stall converter for the auto (standard in Europe only)

Plus with the addition of a Diaplosport or Edge timing/fueling box, the mileage shoots way up along with the HP and TQ numbers.

What about the useless luxury packages though? Nearly all of them have it and it just weighs down the vehicle more.

Also, it just sounds like more work to do on something when I shouldn't be having to do something like that.

I'd wait a little longer, personally. Lots of good diesel vehicles are coming out. Tiguan, Accord, Pilot, Odyssey, Ridgeline, X6, (pretty much the whole BMW lineup).

Well, the 1/2 ton Rams are getting v6 and v8 Cummins.

The fuel prices are eating me alive - I have to downgrade without a payment soon.

No sense in driving a new BMW to a construction site.

Well, just make sure it's a purchase that you want. I don't want to see what it's like for someone to get frustrated buying one vehicle a little early when there's such a good selection in the near future.

i've looked at a few 914's as project cars. Parts are a plenty, but you will need lots of them. They were not the same quality as 911's IMO.

Easy to work on tho, like a lawnmower...

Triumph TR7, only one pic, and why are all of these cars British with a Japanese engine

Trying to find a few more interesting ones. Of course there is the ShoGun, and there were Ford made SHO-powered Windstar and Ranger prototypes

Look what I just got in the mail for my baby:

As if the cornering ability of the MR2 wasn't good enough, I finally get my coil-overs. Hopefully i'll get pics up of the installation when I get it done.

Nice. I plan on getting some BC Racing coilovers sometime this year. I think my stock struts are about done. hahaha.

What is your screen name on SpyderChat? You have some of Corky's bracing too. So I figure you must be over there as well.
