The fight against The End was the best part of MGS3, the whole camouflage and sneaking around was what made the game great, shame there's no MGS collection for the PS4, not going to get into that PS Now nonsense.

I am ashamed to say I used the date trick to bypass him out of frustration.

I had to do it once I read it in a magazine way before actually getting to play the game. But on the HD rerelease I found out you can actually sneak up on him and make him drop his camo! And if you beat him with tranqs he drops his Mosin Nagant.

The HD version is one of the few moments in which the trophy system is actually useful and fun, I explored so much stuff on that game that went by undiscovered by myself back in the day thanks to the trophies on that game.

You shortchanged yourself. I thought The End was the most fun boss fight of the game.
Yeah that's why I did it proper when I played the HD release. Maybe it was my crappy 14inch tv via composite that made me skip it back in 04.
