So far the game is ok. The music is pretty decent, and I actually like some of the backgrounds. Not much movement, but I don't really care about that. The game plays just a tad slow, which I really don't mind. The ai is dumb as shit at the default level. I went through the whole game without losing a round, beat Pyron which unlocked him as a playable character. Also whatever 2 characters you are using, you unlock their original theme music.

Nothing spectacular, but it's still fun.

I'm still buying it

it's been a while since I bought a fighting game (MK1 and MK2 don't count)

I played it in the arcade a few times and I can honestly say the combos are very minimal and The same ones you find in any other game. I don't like how slow it plays, I don't like the fact that you can't run, and I don't like the fact the only the 3rd strike characters can parry. The whole balance of the game is slow and thrown way off by the parry fact. It's not like I would play this game seriously anyway though.

I find it odd that other fighters from over a decade ago had more to offer. No I'm not just talking about lesser known titles like ww7. Alpha2 had custom combos at least. And ss2 has some amazing shit going on that I didn't even know wbout until now. Rolling, ducking, two taunts, etc.

I suppose ss2 is the best I can play for now...

Played it last night at EBGameworld.

This is probably the most dissapointing 2D Capcom Fighting Game I've ever played.

I mean, the game plays too slow, there are not enough characters, and not enough options like in other Capcom Ports.

I beat the game, and played a couple matches with a EB employee.

The EB employee said you can unlock characters, but I really don't care because the gameplay was below previous Capcom fighters.

The only good thing I can say about this game is that a couple of the backgrounds are nice.

$30 is too much for this, $19.99 maybe I'd consider it. There's so many other things I can think to do with my $30 than play a sub-par rehash of fighting games I already own.

It's a sad day for me. I've never been this upset with a Capcom fighting game. Hopefully they can correct this mistake and comeback in true Capcom fashion.
If not, I'll continue to live in the past......

Lol... I don't blame you man.

I felt a bit sad after playing the game myself, but I decide to keep this game.
It's indeed a bad capcom game (bad but not that bad) but it might be the last "CAPCOM we used to know" fighting game.

Don't expect Capcom USA to top this turd. :oh_no:
Maybe Capcom USA will sell the rights to Capcom Eastern Europe and they'll have a go.

If you want to combine all of your charecters into a crappy fighting game, go the Super Smash Bros route.

Yup, 3 was badical
Convince me that playing through all the parts where you have to change and mix and match your camouflage is fun.

I reached that point in the first few mins and I was immediately turned off

MGS3 is legit. I slept on it back then though and didn’t play it until a bit before the HD collection came out

MGS3 filtered minmaxing autists hard. Don't know why some people couldn't fathom wearing an average camo throughout a map instead of changing it every five seconds to get the percentage on the top left as high as possible. It's not there weren't 20 other features to sneak around undetected...

This is one of the less wanky Kojimer games and one clearly focused on fun instead of jerking off Baudrillard on a surface level, or Hollywood personalities. Their loss really.

Oh right, CFE sucks, 2004 people

MGS3 is a great game. I think Peace Walker might be my favorite.

I mean you could play that way but a lot of times you could just ignore that and still get pretty far. The game really wasn’t that hard. Sometimes I’d save my game and just go through and play like an asshole and then find myself progressing to the next section.

You can play like an autist or just play it with no regard for the rules. It’s my favorite mgs. The only time I would say people might have a right to complain was the battle with “The End” but I enjoyed it.
