I found this review in what seems to be korean where Buriki is under the heading of PSX reviews....perhaps a japanese PSX version slipped past the radar?

As far as I know, the only game ever ported to the PSX was Fatal Fury. Though looking at those "screen shots" it doesn't look nearly as good as the Hyper, though it could be due to a crappy picture?

The quality of the FF port was pretty poor. But then again most PS1 ports of SNK's games aren't that great.

So anyway, even this came out it would be pretty bad.

Graphically, the PSX port of Wild Ambition does not stand up to the Hyper version, especially in the backgrounds. The sound also is not the best ever. But it plays really well (I've heard there are a couple combos from the Hyper missing in the PSX, but I haven't really encountered that). It also has a new (and unbelievably long) movie that starts off the story mode that NO Fatal Fury fan should miss. It also has 2 extra characters: Duck King and Mr. Karate (Ryo Sakazaki) who are a blast to play, and make this game worth owning even if you also have the Hyper version, IMO.

Buriki One was never released on PSX, unless he has a proto no one knows about.

Nah...In this forum it s a well known fact that the PSX warriors rage comes like 20+ years after the "Warriors Rage on the HNG 64 with a completely different roster

this warriors rage for PSX:

And Warriors Rage, Asura Zanmaden for HNG 64, whose storyline precedes the PSX version
