Try to think through the plot of this show from her perspective, mother of two, married to a meek/impotent Walt, whose boring mundane existence is SHATTERED by Walt getting cancer and breaking bad.

Ive known women to behave irrationally/psychotically for waaayyyyy less.

Let's not get carried away here. She was on board and wet to launder money for her husband. The show is trying to tell us that she is so affected by the danger of dealing drugs (lol, breaking news), but she played hardass when she visited her boss in the hospital to make sure he kept his mouth shut. Are we supposed to believe that her husband becoming "the danger" is doing this to her? In reality, the show portrays her as being fickle. She doesn't fully commit to anything.

And in that, I'll agree that she's like most women. I hope Walter laces her cigarettes, the chain-smoking cunt.

I think Skyler changed her entire view once she learned Walt was behind a bombing that killed 3 people.

Knowing your spouse is involved is drugs and no details is one thing. As Walt always told her "I'm just the cook, I do nothing else, just cook". She probably could justify that to herself. She didn't think of him like some violent drug dealer. After learning he's killed 3 people, that's what did it.

Great episode (Ep5)!
Spoiler:
The train heist was so tense. The music really sold it well.

The cliffhanger.... fuck!

Train heist felt goofy.

I also saw the ending coming, but figured Mike would do it. I wonder if that new dude is going to become a main character.

I hope not.

He's just a Matt Damon looking goon. He doesnt fit in well on the show at all. As a side character, sure, but I dont want to hear him talk or see his face again - unless its dead.

I have no idea how they are going to get out of this though. They probably wont and this is the true beginning of the end.

the train heist was SICK BRO

Walt is evolving into a full on drug baron.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Skylar is annoying and needs to die before she gets everyone busted.

that cheatin' bitch.

I'm waiting for the episode where Walt hires a hooker for his son's birthday present.

The train scene made me sit on the edge of the couch for the first time in month, just incredible execution.

I also just read that GhostDog finally watched the pilot. Welcome to the cult! Now you have four glorious seasons to catch up on.

Train heist seemed far fetch to actually pull off, but overall it was very intense. Jaw dropped at that ending though, just didn't think the producers would do that.
Im guessing thats the end for matt damon though.

I think there is only 3 more episodes left for part 1 of this season! Fuuckkkkkkkkkk

Would've been awesome if after Matt Damon had killed the kid, Heisenberg had said, "Stay out of my territory." to the kid's corpse.

The beginning flash forward is the main thing eating at me now. We're 5 out of 8 into the first half of season 5 and so far everything has been smooth. To go from now to that diner scene is one hell of a change. Shit must of spiraled out of control to all hell.

Well, everything is totally fucked now...

You're right. I can't think of any way this mess can be fixed.
I don't see how Jesse will cooperate from this point forward. Same thing with Skylar once the news reports of a missing/dead kid near some train tracks.
This is the beginning of the end.

HA!

Did you seriously find that just trolling DS9 episodes?

About a week ago Bobak turned me onto DS9, so I've been watching them pretty regularly. I loaded up this episode and started laughing my ass off when I saw him. I don't know the guy from anything else other than Breaking Bad, but he acts just the same in DS9. Same seriousness, with that stern eye contact.
