Looking for a complete, clean copy. Doesn't have to be mint, just well taken care of.

Game is all over the place price wise. Seen em sell for as little as $130.00, up to about $260.00. Guess it depends on condition, and if it has the reg card and little pamphlet.

Have PP ready if the price is fair.

May also have trade bait depending on what you need.

Have a boxed WII-U. A PS4, and a bunch of games from most generations.

Would prefer a PM where you cut through the chase and just tell me what you want, and explain the condition. If it's fair I wont counter.

To be honest the Wii version shits all over the ps1 version. I mean seriously. Save your money and get the better version.

I appreciate the heads up. I have beat both however, and I prefer the PS1 version for several reasons.

Other than the fact you get a coupon for a free taco with the Wii version, what makes it so vastly superior? I've never played the original since I never came across a copy.

Higher resolution and pretty good voice acting. Plus running it on a Wii U allows it to be run on a new tv and look great. I don't even play my ps1 version of it anymore.

Let’s be real, even if that free coupon was the only difference it would absolutely make the Wii version the winner.

It's all a matter of preference. Kid Panda brings up some good points with being able to play it on a modern T.V., but I still prefer the PS1 version. Mainly because it's the one I grew up with in my teen years. Personally, even though on paper the Wii version is superior, I feel it lost a lot of the charm the PS1 version had in the presentation. Just look at the intro video comparison in the video below.

To be clear, both version are great. I am just a huge fan of the game, and wanted both. If you have never played it, it's on PSN on Vita and PS4. It's one of the greatest platformer's ever, and a game every retro gamer needs to experience.

Also, I was able to trade for a copy on another website.

I concur, ps1 over wii. I didn't even know a wii version exists.

Were you after a US copy? I was going to suggest finding the import version but looks like you got what you wanted.

I definitely understand and can relate to that. Glad you found a copy! I've had the Wii version for a while, but never played the original.

Probably also worth noting, the Wii version was made easier. You get more life, and the reach of your wind attack is extended. The PS1 version actually has a good level of difficulty.

I've seen lots of games in the wild. Even some 8 and 16 bit grail stuff. Never once seen Klonoa: Door to Phantomile in over 20 years of searching. The only copy I've ever seen was the one I bought back in the day from Blockbuster Video. Never seen it at flea markets, garage sales, or even retro game shops near me, that even get weird imports in you'd never expect.

I don't think it's rare as something like Magical Chase, or Metal Slug, but I bet it's more rare than a lot of the NES grails like Little Sampson and Dinosaur Peak. Just not as valuable cause its not on a Nintendo Console. If it was released on N64 I bet people would give their left nut for it.
