Boku No Watashi Katamari Damashii (PSP) - Whos Getting it? Impressions?

I just ordered a copy from Lik Sang.

I'm really excited to have Katamari on the go. Minna Daisuke Katamari Damashii was very easy to play/complete without understanding Japanese, while being very enjoyable. I expect the same from Boku No Watashi Katamari Damashii.

Awhile back I saw a wallpaper of what a 2D version of Katamari Damacy might look like, and I thought "Damn it'd be cool if that was real".

Turns out it is!

I have a feeling you'll have to unlock it, or find it deeply nestled within some menus. So would any Japanese Speaking members, be so kind as to help me find it?


I should get my copy sometime next week. I'm really anticipating this one.

Got it lastnight.

Here's my initial impression of the game:

Control - While it felt a bit awkward using the d-pad and buttons as opposed to the two analog stick ala PS2,I kinda grew accustomed to it after a few tries. No problems here.

Visual - Pretty much on-par with its PS2 counterpart. The images are nice and crisp,and are very well animated. Also,the game move along quite nicely without any blurring.

Sound - Superb. Gotta love those quirky Katamari tracks!

If you're a fan of the series,be sure to check it out.

The magazines seem to be meh about this. I have to admit <3 Katamari didn't wow me, so I'll probably pick this up when it hits US in mar.

Just got it today at 4pm I've been playing it nonstop.

I will post more detailed impressions soon.

I've completed the basic game with a 3700 Meter Katamari! And have rolled up some very interesting and important people, (cough royalty) but still wasnt big enough for one.

once you beat the game, the 2D game comes out and you play it with the credits rolling. SWEET.
