Mine is manual sync with black goo... So that makes it the rarer more valuable version right? The geometry and convergence are both a little wonky but I'll adjust what I can later on... I'm still stoked

I don't think that it makes it "valuable".

I might get pummeled for this post, but does anyone know where I can get a platform like this one for my blast? I sit all day at work, so I'd rather stand when enjoying my cab.

I have one that is in storage. The shipping on it will be scart though.

You can have mine. It's very well made, it has hooks that go around the blasts casters on the back. I'm by the airport, if you're heading my way sometime PM me and I'll give you my address.

Hey guys quick question for you, I am looking to pick up a blast city and was wondering if there is a recommended mvs board? Mainly based on available size in the cabinet and the audio output, stereo vs mono. Also what solution is there for a multi slot board when you want to change games? Can you just code a button on a 6 button layout to change games?

To switch between games you need to have MVS Select Button Wired Up, which is pin 26.

The above adapter looks right. Just make sure you don't get the jamma to mvs adapter lol.

So do you just keep the button inside the cabinet in that case or drill a new hole in the control panel? Just curious as to what people have done in the past, going to build a parts list as well =)

The select button is shorted to the A button with that adapter. You dont need to wire any extra buttons to switch games. Coin up and press the A button.

Bought a Blast City from Chris @ Windy Gaming today. I put up a post in the WTB area for a MVS Board (+ Jamma converter if multislot) and some games. Just wondering if you guys had any recommendations of items I could start purchasing while waiting on my cabinet. The current control layout is 1 player 2 buttons. I will be moving to 2 players 7 buttons each to keep the neo layout, where is the best site to start with for something like this? I saw Jasen's Customs being reference a lot while searching, but the site and owner are on vacation it seems until mid May. Any general cabinet advice would be welcome, I am a noob when it comes to cabinets but I am pretty technically proficient.

congrats on the purchase !

adding an extra hole to your existing panel is easy. Use a hole saw or a punch. I suggest reading through this whole thread for ideas ;)

lots of good reading here.

Well the current layout is 1p right in the center of the panel so I wasn't sure how much I could do with the current panel since I want to move to 2p. I would prob rather built a new panel than destroy an original one, but that could change if price becomes a factor haha.

You're going to need wiring harnesses as well, both for the 2nd player as well as extra button harnesses (for the kick row) and in the PCB bay (There's a CPS2 kick harness that plugs into the Blast's I/O board, you'll need that).

I make all of these and will be working through Windy gaming to sell them so keep your eyes peeled. Either chris or I will make a thread in here and I'm sure he'll reach out to you guys when things are ready to go.

Sweet that would be a good option. I saw a CAD file in this thread to make them as well.

Chris had mentioned he was going to have harnesses available soon. I guess I will have to wait to see what is in the cabinet already and what is still needed, this will probably be a little overwhelming at first, I appreciate the help.

LV has a youtube video about the CPS2 kick harness on the blast city, it helped get me up and running in no time. It helps that I got a couple blast kick harnesses from shadows right after I joined the forum.

Overall really happy with my decision to get a blast, especially when this worked:

Lem, Good to know you have some cps2->blast ready to ship, I'm probably gonna send someone your way.

the capcom i/o is DEFINATELY the way to go if you plan on running 6 button naomi games in your blast, the sega jamma i/o is a royal PITA for that.

I also just got my blast. Where is the jvs connector? If it is off the jamma loom, I think I too will need another loom. Also, does anyone know what direction to rotate the monitor? I've seen two different answers.
