I have a customers AES that needs repair and it's currently stuck in watchdog.

The only pinout I have is from a 3-4, the 1st gen doesn't have a Neo-E0 chip so I need to know a complete pinout for the 1st gen.

Hmm, thanks dude but that isn't fully complete. There's no HC259, Neo-C0, Neo-B0, LSPC on there or the other components. I already have 100% continuity between Work RAM, CPU and Bios so it's another component thats not connected.

This is the 3-4:

Fixed. It was pin 20---LS08 (11)

Thanks again dude.

Forgot to say that the LS08 is located at D9.

Bumping this since I wanted to add some info after repairing a NEO-AES that was also clicking due to BIOS reading issues. This is the thread that pops up first in search results so I think it's a good spot to post it. The required pins to make BIOS pin 20 pulse originate from these so this should be useful for finding the root cause.

68k pin # on the left, LS05 location and pin # on the right:
A7(35) - R8(1)
A8(36) - R8(3)
A9(37) - R8(5)
A10(38) - R8(9)
A11(39) - R8(11)
A12(40) - R8(13)
A13(41) - R9(1)
A14(42) - R9(3)
A15(43) - R9(5)
A16(44) - Q9(11)
A17(45) - Q9(13)
A18(46) - Q9(1)
A19(47) - Q9(3)
A20(48) - R9(13)
A21(50) - R9(11)

"VEC" input from 74259:
HC259(5) - R9(9)

"A22 ^ A23" input from 74LS86:
LS86(8) - Q9(9)

All the output pins that map to the LS05 inputs should be connected together along with the nearby 1K pull up resistor. If this combined output is stuck low rather than pulsing, then it will just watchdog reset as the BIOS vector swap won't work. Any single bad input will cause this. This output should be connected to LS86 pins 2 & 5.

Some required 68k pins lead straight to the LS86:
A22(51) - LS86(1 & 9)
A23(52) - LS86(4 & 10)

The outputs from the above 2 (from pins 3 & 6) are equivalent to the A22I & A23I outputs from the NEO-E0. It's just done in discrete logic instead on these pre-NEO-E0 boards.
