Here is a pic of my two slot cab with a one slot board and a four slot marquee. Yea its a mix of three, but I love it.
I have since put some new sticks in it and stuck a Naomi with Dead or Alive 2 in it also. I do plan on getting a 2 slot board and marquee for in the near future.

So I will soon be in the big red club! MVS 2-slot with brand new board and battery as well as a new monitor. Picking it up after the Holidays, so pictures semi-soon! It has a 111 in 1 cart as well as legit carts of both Bust a Move and Metal Slug X. I may sell Metal Slug X though..

Some small things I need to buy would be 1 blue button and also the coin display boards that are displayed next to the player start buttons, since they don't work.

EDIT: Also does everybody keep their machines plugged in? Never owned an arcade machine so I'm not too sure the do's and dont's of this.

Hey long time lurker, first time poster. Tonight I secured my first Neo Geo and also my first arcade cab: a BIG RED 4-Slot MVS!
Current condition:
023.jpg

Should be delivered to my house in the next day or two. $400 with AeroFighters 2, Shock Troopers 2nd Squad, SamSho III, Double Dragon and Metal Slug X (and about 60 miles delivery.) All the buttons and joysticks will definitely need to be replaced and I'm excited to spend a few hours cleaning it all up.

Hopefully my noobness won't piss off too many people but obviously this is the best place for Neo tech support and I'm proud to give this MVS a good home and the love it deserves.

Looking forward to posting the updated pic with it all restored and in its new home!

Congrats, dude! Yeah, I'm over in Woburn, just north of Boston. My 4 slot arrived last Sunday December 18th. Found it on Craigslist. Been having a great time cleaning it up. Opened up the back to get in for some deep cleaning and found about 5 bucks worth of generic "Eagle" Arcade tokens and one 1991 FunSpot token. Also inside I found my marquee for Double Dragon, which I needed to complete the full kit! Nice surprise. Still got some black marker on one side of the cab I'm trying to clean off. I'm hoping one of those Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponges might do the trick. I pulled off the "tokens only" stickers off the coin door and goo gone'd it all up. Now it glows nice and bright! The guy I got it from couldn't find the keys for the marquee holder so they are trapped for now... but I was surprised to find the 3rd and 4th marquee lights actually work and are pretty bright.
I ordered all new sticks and buttons a couple days ago (Supers and competitions.) A little black paint to cover the blemish on the CP and some white touch-ups to the side art and I'll be ready to post some new pics. USA! USA! USA!

That monitor looks great. Hope you get to soak up some time with your new cab over the holiday.

EllertMichael, that's awesome, my girlfriend lives in Woburn also! Also my monitor is flawless, I was super happy when I saw how crisp and bright it was.
All I need are new buttons, 2 marquees and i'll be good.

I swapped out all the buttons and sticks on my Big Red. Went with Super Joysticks and Competition pushbuttons (keeping the classic :A::B::C::D: colour scheme, of course) these fast convex buttons rule in this cab :buttrock:
Got the classic arcade 1 & 2 Player Start buttons and for the Select Game button I got a Black Ultimate Pushbutton Looks slick.

Everything is all wired up, working great and playing like a dream. I couldn't wait to rip out all that old dirty crap that was in there when I got the cab...

As for the arcadeemulator.net website I used... well I got everything I ordered and they shipped fairly quickly... but it wasn't packaged very well (flat rate bubble envelope covering only 3/4ths of a thin packing envelope leaving an entire end vulnerable to damage) and I had to spend a fair amount of time straightening pins and piecing everything together. But in the end everything works well and looks great so I guess that's all that really matters.

Was that a play choice? If so then I'm partial to keeping those cabs authentic 'cause they were so bad ass with the dual screen.

No it was just a generic Electrocoin cab. Obviously it isn't as nice as a big red but they are pretty rare in the UK

IMG_20120106_191743.jpg

Got it on Boxing Day after having found it on a local craigslist, newly posted, on Christmas Day. Great price, 5 games to start. And now I'm up to 6 with four more waiting for me in the mail :)
