Nice, going to look out for it, been a fan since like forever. His movies always were difficult to find over here due to our fucking omg-think-of-the-children pussy authority, the only chance you got was to import them from either Austria or the UK. His Zombie movies were quite over-the-top, right my pint o' beer

I love the fulci flic's, the first time i watched zombie flesheaters when i was 15 year old was an experience i'll never forget.
A great horror film, even without the gore it would have scared the shit outta me.
No cgi back then, and some of the stuff he put to screen was incredible.
The soundtrack's were fab as well.
Much as i love him though, i gotta say that john carpenter's the thing is my fav for old school, gory animatronic effects, and also one of my all time favourite horror film's.

I've been a huge fan of Fulci for a long time as well. The whole Italian scene has been such a massive influence for me - from Spaghetti Westerns to Cannibal exploitation to dreamy Giallo - there is a wealth of entertainment that one only has to skim the surface of to be blown away. I feel as though you have to be a lover of film though to truly appreciate Italian cinema from the 60's, 70's and 80's and have a solid suspension of disbelief. I've shown Fulci films to those who love movies and they have panned the effects, the acting, the story, and I get it, his films are not for everyone. But if you do get them, and you know what I mean, his films are quintessential Italian art. The pestilence and dread of his Zombie films are unequaled in my opinion.

Yeah, the early argento films are very good, susperia is probably my favourite, inferno is another good one.
Mario bava is another director that comes to mind, kidnapped, black sunday, bay of blood, to name a few.
The film's don't alway's make a lot of sense in that they don't follow a coherant narrative at times, but the imagery is something else.
As long as you don't want to be led by the hand through the film you'll have a blast with the giallo flic's.
The top tier fulci zombie film's crank up the feeling of imposing dread like no other in the genre though, no doubt about it, top stuff.

Also, this films are not in the mexican netflix. I am VERY dissapointed.

No worries. They've already blitzed their stretch goal by over 700% so there ahould he some nice additions on top of all the extras going into this.

I had the second pressing soft cover edition but it was destroyed in flood waters so it'll be great to get this again and check out all the extra material.

I've alway's suspected that the book of Eibon in the beyond was "borrowed" from Clark Ashton Smith and the H P Lovecraft mythos, it's referenced in quite a few of lovecraft's stories.
Old lovecraft and his circle loved they're ancient tomes of forbidden knowledge that would either drive you mad or unleash hell.

Of course, the Smith reference is very obvious.

I'm a Lovecraft fan since I was little, some of his adjective-laden earlier stories have lost a bit of their fascination but the core of the Cthulhu mythos (or Yog Sothoth mythos, to be precise) with stories like Call of Cthulhu, Dreams In The Witch House (one of my faves), At The Mountains Of Madness, The Dunwich Horror, The Case Of Charles Dexter Ward, Dream-Quest Of Unknown Kadath, The Silver Key and others is still a shining example of weird fiction literature and keeps inspiring me to this very day.

I got to meet Claudio and Massimo when they toured with Goblin a few years back. My mate won backstage tickets. Very humble and cool guys. I don't believe Massimo plays in Goblin anymore, it is just Claudio.

That's awesome. I saw Goblin (minus Massimo) a few years back, and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.
