Beta Hotaru pics

Some people hadthe audasity(sp?) to question a Hotaru drawing I did about 4 years back. Well I have the prototype sketches/rejects to show that I did do it. I only have two skectes it took me 5 tries to get it right

I lot prototype 1,2 amd 5 long time ago. Even back then I always had trouble with the hands and head on most things I drew because my hands were so big I had to erase carefully to make the hands smaller. I managed to get it right on the last proto I did.

Compare it to the finished product that Machin Shin(fake account) posted in the other thread.

For other old drawings you may have seen of mine elsewhere, I did proto sketches of them too and I'll try my hardest to locate them because you will notice that or some drawings the finish may be different but the proto sketches are all the same style

They are not the same artist. You obviously tried to copy the Hotaru finished pic and got it waaaay wrong, just look at the hair of your pics, at the hand, at the face, at all those little details that make one's style, and mein freund, your pics and that colored Hotaru, share not even the single trace of the same style.

I don't know why I'm bothering with this, it's so obvious that it hurts........

STFU N00B, I've shown this thing for 4 years now. Even the beta stuff longer than that. You can search anyplace on the net and won't find it anywhere but on my old sites or places I've submitted it. I've gone by the name Dr. Drea and Ice Queen X as well as many forms of the name Tigresa. I do his with about every drawing too. if I feel like it I might make a newer version of the Mai drawing. It was a one shotter in the first place. I can do better than that.

Sorry. Those "prototypes" look more like traced images of the final drawing. It would hav been much more convincing some sketches than these so-called prototypes.

Just because you stole it 4 years ago it doesn't mean that it's yours. Most likely you swiped it from some japanese site that is no longer around.

The drawings you've posted have ideal proportions, but terrible attention to detail, and wavy, unsteady lines.

Compare those to the lousy proportions, terrible attention to detail, and wavy, unsteady lines from your 'Leona and the Lion' picture, and I'd say you've been tracing the Hotaru, but not the Leona.

Please don't try and say the Leona pic has bad proportions because you've been out of practice.

I found beta pic #5 and this one was in color and this was the beta pic I used in the finish because, one of my friends on IM reminded that I had a pic online with the same drawing but different setting. He said he'll upload it for me. It has Hotaru, same pose but submerged in water with bubbles with the initials IQX (short fo Ice Queen X of course) next to it. Once I get it, I'll have proof that I did it. As for the pic itself, I'll scan it and upload it once I figure out why my home comp won't connect to the internet. The one I'm using doesn't have FTP, which I need to upload and in order to use FTP I have to be connected.

Those are not sketches, those are traced images. Sketches are done with light pencil marks, eraser marks here and there.

Therefore, there is no way I could have traced the pics, the rejects are bigger than the actual pic itself. Take a look at #3. I have written notes on it and even crossed out an error I made. I don't think photoshop can do that either and if I did trace, it woulda looked a whole lot worse than that because I'm a horrible tracer.

You print out the original, stick it under a piece of paper. Trace it, which is obvious due to the round corners of her hair. Then you write some fake notes and date it for 4 years ago.

When you print an image you can setup the exact size you want, you can make the picture to fill an entire 8x11 page.

Anyway I'm sure that pic was traced or copied (you know as in looking at the original and trying to copy it in a paper)

The point is that us artist don't work that way, making "betas" or stuff like that, we can make sketches to get some ideas right, but once we got to the final stage of doing a piece, if it comes out wrong IT STAYS WRONG, what's done is done.

As far as I've seen you don't have the talent to do a pic like the finished Hotaru.
