I am trying to decide between a Super Nova and an MVS system or a Neo Geo home system. I think I would be better off buying the home system and the MVS converter (about the same price but I wouldnt have to buy the converter right away) Where would you recomend buying a home system from a website store that has it in stock now? (not ebay)Thanks

I don't know about your payment issue, but I had to say that I bought my home neo at JNL (I actually went there) and the system was brand new in an ultra minty box.

I know that buy rite has them in stock (website: buyrite1.com). But u have to email them and ask for the current price
Its very expensive though the deal i believe they are offering now is:

Neo AES home system and hookups
1 joystick (not sure whether its the new or old one)
King of fighters 2000 (JP)
and one game of their choice

$699.99 (US)

like i said, pricey...

3 the same posts? You'd better delete any two.
Last time I called buyrite regarding Neo Silver system deal, one joystick with new Metal Slug 3 for $899 earlier this year. But system is used so I didnt' get that deal.

Too bad that we cant' find brand new AES anywhere

MVS is the best way to play recent games without being rich. But you must have the place to stock a cabinet.

About two years ago, I emailed by rite and they said that a new neo geo with no game would be $1000. I laughed myself into hysteria and went elsewhere.

Try Ebay and this forum first. I live in the NYC and visit JnL from time to time. The Neos they currently have (I was in the store about 2 weeks ago) are in good not mint condition and they are certainly not brand new.

Anybody ever order from http://www.gamechoiceclub.com? They have systems listed, and if I remember correctly, he said in an email that they were new.

There is no way you can get new AES unless:

1) it's someone else backup machine
2) warehouse clearance
3) miracle happens

jnlgames are alright for me. I don't know how c.o.d works though. being in Canada I had to send a money order for the game I got from them. It came quickly though and in pretty good shape. If your wallet can handle it I'd go with them or shawn.

I have ordered from them before, not neo geo system though. $450 is no bad if it's brand new with box and new manual - probably jp.

450 is the price without shipping or tax. and they only take money order. so email them.

Otherwise get a used one off ebay for 150 or more.

Sandmanct,

I just decided to sell one of my system:

neo system > japanese version, mint or near mint at least
the box > definitely not mint, it's in good condition though
all hookups
+ 3 homecarts (aof1 us, fatal fury 1 us, fatal fury 2 jap)

$370 + actual shipping

Let me know if you want it
I also have the pics (or you can see from this site "collections" page, it's the one in the middle)

Here's the deal with JnL's Systems. The systems that they have are in fact Brand New and never used. I have seem them many many times and can tell you that they are brand new.

Now for the downside. The systems that they sell are the old old old (very low serial number) US White Box Silver Systems (they weren't even called SIlver Systems yet at this point). The boxes are usually very dirty and slightly damaged (because the age). The system, old style controller, and power supply are new SNK products, however, they replaced the SNK AV Cables, with a flimsy 3rd party cable, that doens't even look like an AV cable (they have red and white connectors like an audio cable, red = video, black = audio). They do this, so they can resell the official AV cables at their store. The systems also do not include an RF Adaptor (also revmoved from the box, so that they can resell it). Finally, the systems do not include a manual or any other form of documentation. When asked about it, they said, "that is just the way they came".

The $450 price does not include shipping, which is $20. I hope this information helps you make a decision.
