I just had some friends leave the house here today... some were here for five hours. It's so sad that the best arcade in town is in my own house. We played Virtua Fighter 4 evo mostly, but a few people were pretty bad ass in Marvel vs Capcom 2. People even get a kick out of Vampire Savior. It's so awesome having people that enjoy games like this with me. If only I had more games.... or people to play against. The comp's amazing.... takes me back when Aladin's Castle was in town (a fighter's arcade, unlike some that have NO fighting games at all)

Would anyone here in the Chicago area have any interest in getting people to gather some night at my place? I've got a few guys that are pretty good at fighters to give some comp. Anyone anyone?

Same thing here,

I know there are a few arcades in the city (London) by my home collection IMHO has a better selection of generally much better games, they all work correctly, no problems with broken buttons, joysticks or machines that simply steal your coins!!!!!

Oh yeah, and its FREE PLAY everyday!!! :mr_t:

That sucks. That's why you need to get a gathering of people from here. Fire 'em up, set 'em on freeplay and just let people go.

Aladin's Castle is part of Namco, so they used to be everywhere. You have no idea how good you have something until it's gone.

Exactly, I have plenty of decent 2-4 player games, and all my friends want to play is Halo2, PGR3 or fucking Pro Evo soccer!!

"Whats this 2d crap?" is a common question..... To which i reply, "I was playing games before you dripped out of your daddys knob, and this 2d crap has a lot more care and thought put in it than most of the mass market drivel released nowadays"

LOL

Your lucky you have arcades at all. As a kid I used to go to a seaside town, not far from where I lived, that was full of arcades, each with decent machines. It was awesome. These days, every single one is filled with one arm bandits. No video games in sight. It makes me sad.

We have University Pinball here which is pretty good (see my get togethers) they have plenty of atomiswave games. Besides that we just have Sega Gameworks with SVC and Metal Slug 5 and Dave and Busters down the street from each other.

I drive by a Zac's burgers with a Neo cab in it and sometimes I see people playing that.

The Jersey shore used to rock with the games, but now all the arcades have mostly those slot machine redemption things. There are still arcade auctions in Jersey where you can play the old games while they're being sold :(

Besides that my modded xbox keeps me reliving the old days :crying:
I guess thats why I have two neo cabs at my place.
I used to love having my birthday parties at Aladdin's Castle :buttrock: :buttrock:

PS if you want to have a get together you should post something in the gatherings section.

.Your own setup is pretty rocking...

Have you tried Roting the Monitor on the Neo29?

There is not even a local arcade in the area that I live in so if you have one in your town feel lucky. All I can say is I am glad that I have my two cabs.

definately GameWorks. Last year I found Gameworks and it was amazing. They had racing games where you got to ride upside down and up walls. Never seen those on any console. And plus, there was loads of fighters, like six of them. And a Metal Slug game. I thought there might be more games like that so I tried Dave and Busters and it was like a piece of shit compared to GameWorks. All they had were some crappy first person shooters, which just happens to be the genre that 3D hurts the most.

Amazing bump.

Not in a good way.

Except there is a goingmerry post here, that counts for something, I guess.
