Greetings!

Curious if anyone is familiar with the Atomiswave setup for Sega Bass Fishing Challenge.

It uses a HAPP trackball (I believe) and am curious if any modern stock HAPP trackball would do the trick - or if it is something more proprietary?

I am debating buying a new HAPP trackball wired w/what looks like a compatible molex connector to the I/O expansion board, or buying a full kit on ebay that I know would work (but is $500-ish).

If someone has seen one or has one and can help - it'd be appreciated.

one main concern when dealing with rotary encoder based controls is whether you need nigh or low active, and if you need buffered too. the new happ rotary encoders seem to work with everything I throw at it.

second concern is the # of teeth in the encoder wheels. For example , Sega trackballs have 1/2 the amount compared to happ one, therefore the game software is designed that way. Using a happ trackball in that case will result in overly sensitive controls. Vice versa when using a sega trackball on say... Rampart. But, encoder wheels are easy to swap.
