Defnitely not an April Fool's joke. It runs. It runs slow, but it's playable. I turned off sound though, I dont know if it works or not.

edit: also, it probably runs slow because of my 'puter. 2 gb of RAM, P4 2.8 processor, lol. edit 2: sound also works.

Awesome. This means we're sure to see disturbing MUGEN conversions of Rumble Fish characters in the very near future. ;P

I spent a few minutes with the game as I've never played it before and it's pretty cool! I like the combo system, it seems somewhat easy to use but still fun to play.

Kinda makes me want an Atomiswave, lol.

When you try to load a game the only games I see listed are Fist of the North Star and Demolish Fist. I'm downloading what I *think* is a Dolphin Blue ROM, and I'll test.

edit: newp. it wasn't a Dolphin Blue game ROM it was something else. Trying to find Demolish Fist now.

Hmm. No idea what's goin on. I got the ROM named demofist.zip and it's only like 1.4 megs which doesn't make sense. When I try ti run it it looks like the system might be 'running', but I get no graphics at all. *shrug*

That's pretty cool.

I own most of the Atomisware ports, but I really don't care that they're emulated. At least people who don't have the ability to play imports or didn't spend absurd cash for Atomisware can now actually play these games.

Only 2 Atomiswave games has been dumped, but Demolist Fist is incomplete afaik.

Is the PS2 FOTNS game the same as this Atomiswave version? I'd like to play at full speed, lol.

Legend:
playable - means game can be coined and played somehow until possyble hangs up
unsupported - means game can boot or show demo sequences but cannot be played or coined because of some hardware still unsupported, mostly IO
protected - means game potentially could be playable but unable to work due hardware protection
Little more explanation: Mostly NAOMI cartridge games are protected.
Almost all games have some portions of it's code or data encrypted. So they cannot be played well before encryption algorythms and keys will be revealed. Some of games have pathetic protection checks so they can be fooled and marked as playable in current list too. Some games are playable even with protection is on, some games are unplayable because unemulated extra controllers just now, like keyboards, mahjong panels, lightguns and some specific controls.

Note: all ripped GD-ROM files are originally encrypted and cannot be played on other emulators like Makaron or NulDC as is. But, there is no need any other key or LST files to run it with latest Demul, just put it under your ROMS directory and select desired game from list.

Another note: GD-ROM dumps originally was a part of MAME CHDs file set, so you can actually rip them too the same way I did. Cartridge roms are identical to MAME romset, so feel free to get them from latest MAME |
Some uncomplete romsets are excluded from Demul build and this roms pack.

More Atomiswave.... WIP

A great flood

In reference to recent “dumper drama”, I stated that dumpers who want to be #1 on my list should flood me with dumps. The Guru is taking me up on that offer. Here’s some screens of new dumps running in MAME (more games will be added throughout this week, so keep checking back).

(NOTE: Neo-Geo Battle Coliseum was also dumped but couldn’t be completed yet due to weird TSOP-70 mask ROMs. It doesn’t boot due to the missing data).

(UPDATE 8/31 19:43 GMT: King of Fighters Neowave has been dumped but doesn’t run in MAME yet. DEMUL is looking good though!)

(UPDATE 9/1 5:48 GMT I hooked up the controls for Atomiswave games using stick/button controllers in MAME so now you can (slowly) play the games. An in-game shot of The Rumble Fish is now added below).

(UPDATE 9/1 22:52 GMT Guru dumped the Naomi cartridge Project Justice. We’re still working on the protection data but we’ve got enough for some nice new screens below. This is completely independent of Alex’s dump which he still has not released, but if he’d like to release right now I’d certainly appreciate the time savings on the protection. And yes, Guru is now capable of dumping the protection data – he’s got a working Naomi USB dumper and 2 of the MAME Italia crew have the parts for theirs on order).

(UPDATE 9/2 15:42 GMT Guru finished the protection data for Project Justice and dumped Gigawing 2 (which doesn’t boot in MAME yet). He and I are also working on protection data dumps for other previously dumped Naomi carts including Heavy Metal Geomatrix).

Can't be arsed until Dolphin Blue and Rumble Fish 2 are emulated.

I'm surprised more Atomiswave games aren't emulated as the person who dumped Fist of the North Star had almost all of the other games, with a few exceptions.

Also, I'm the one who donated the cart so, you can thank me for being able to play the game.
