I've run Redhat and Debian before for about a year on a old computer I didn't use much.
I'm not really interested in using it for a main OS, I'm very happy with OSX. I'm just interested to mess with it. Probably just get Netbeans on there do my Homework and feel l33t.

And since it's a custom CPU it has custom operations. You can't just magically say "it's PPC" and use a flag and have it work. It's a custom CPU with special ops, thus needing some modification to their compiler. Check the codewarrior site, they have a custom compiler just for the GC.

Wow, the Mac runs Half Life 2 AMAZINGLY on my Mobility Radeon.

It runs at 1600 at 16:10 at about 30-60 fps(estimation) with everthing on high!

It even does HDR!

Nope, native resolution, 1400x900. Refections on water are set to simple, and of course Antialiasing and anisotropic filtering are off though. Everything else high

Yes, but most hentai games have pretty low system requirements, so he could get away with a single core mac mini. Of course, one could also build a more powerful, OSX-capable PC with that money.
