It wasn't that great of a game compared to say Gold and Silver. Stupidly easy and not many good new pokes

I think the game is solid, but most of the pokaymanz suck. G1 and 2 are the best ones.

Each generation gives something good gen 3 being metagross latidragons and milotic while 4 gave us weavile electivire and magmortar

I can't tell you how right on that pic is. I have black and I love it, before the release I remember 2 kids in my javascript class going on the official site to see updates. A more jock guy in my class the other day said 'man I want to get the new Pokemon, I remember playing pokemon red.' and thats when I knew that Pokemon ruled the world.

i don't have any of the new pokemon games. i'd like to give it a go, but i liked platinum so much and HG/SS was quite good too. if these new ones don't live up, i don't know. i think i might be one of those who played every generation of pokemon. kanto, johto, sinnoh, hoenn, i never went near orre region in pokemon coliseum. and i dunno about this new region or game, especially if its been weakened down.
Give me some Pokemons.

Anyway, I played the shit out of Red and Blue.
I originally got into Pokemon for the money.
I was making a ton of money on selling Pokemon cards... Was importing boxes of Japanese cards from my cousin for like $50 a box and selling them for $25 a pack.
Bought up all the First Edition packs.
Man...
Long story short, I was selling "Mew" for $100 - took out an ad in the local newspaper, advertising I'd add "Mew" to the game for $100.
I made $1500 one weekend with parents showing up.
They had no clue about the Gameshark hack.

haha i remember hearing about kids who knew some guy who knew some guy who would sell mews. i remember i just asked for a gameshark for my birthday, got it, and made my own mews for free, but looking back i prolly coulda charged a fiver a head or something. oh well.
never touched the cards though, those things were gay

I got so many rare Mantle baseball cards in exchange for Pokemon cards I got for free.
It was a blast!
The card craze was nuts.
I made close to $90k on the cards, and Mew sales alone.
I'd go to tournaments with a few buddies who helped me start out.
I had a binder full of Charizard, Blastoise, ECT... Parents would buy so many cards from me.
I'm sure I have some cards in this house somewhere... There were so many of them.

Damn it --I was about to post this yesterday but I thought better of it --mostly because that comic feels more aimed at people under 25 (especially since it involves grade school --I initially looked at is as "Magic for kids" and even Magic didn't appear at my school until high school, and I thought it was for a level of geek that I just couldn't be).
