I got that Capcom Deluxe Set with the Game, a XL T-shirt (ha!), a ADA figure, and a really sweet Biohazard Complete Soundtrack box set for each of the games.

I've been replaying the first few levels so far, (completed the GC version), the graphics actually look alright, and Widescreen mode is a definate boost to resolution so you don't have to zoom it. I havent gotten it to go into progressive scan mode yet. What's the code? Triangle+Square? Triangle+Circle during bootup? But in 480i/16x9 it looks pretty decent but the GC still is of course better but with less resolution.

I can't wait to get to the "Extra" extras.

Anyone else get it yet?

I haven't been paying attention... I take it that is an import?

Nope US, just came out today, (technically yesterday... havent slept yet) 10-24.

Should be in stores everywhere tommorow.

BTW EBGames has this "Premium Edition" akin to the one for the GC RE4 at Gamestop.

Anyone seen this? I like those damn tin cases. And kind of want it to compliment the red GC one. (fucking collector :oh_no: )

How much was it? I don't need the toy, but I'd be interested in the soundtracks.

How's the difficulty on PS2 version compared to GC? Any noticeable differences?

Actually yes, I noticed there were a few enemies missing/misplaced. (In the first level that one shed you walk into and theres a Zombie that jumps out...not in PS2 to my knowledge)

so as far as that's concerned it may be a bit easier.

Also I could be wrong. But are there less enemies on screen? (this is pure speculation)

I'd love to have that soundtrack, but there's no way I'm paying $120 for that special edition package. The toy is worthless to me - well, actually it's worse, since it'd be embarrassing for me to have to explain to someone that I've got a video game toy in my room :oh_no: . And the soundtrack isn't worth $70.

Man o' man, was the free soundtrack with the GC version ever fucking terrible ....

From what I understand, the differences are pretty minor, and the PS 2 did a pretty decent job of porting the original GC game, albeit with poorer color saturation, occasional jaggies, etc. I love the game, but there's just not enough there to warrant the purchase on the PS 2. It is a great deal for those who only have a PS 2 though.

I'll probably pick it up as soon as I finish Shadow of the Colossus. I can deal with the downgraded graphics since there are so many extras. All the reviews I've read say the port isn't that far from the GC version anyway.

What I'm more concerned about is the controls. Does it translate well to the Dual Shock 2? Is aiming just as easy as the GC version? I've always found the Dual Shock to be less accurate than the GC analog sticks.

What else is new?

I played it at friends house who bought that package. Not as good as GCN, because I hate the dual shock, otherwise it's good enough for PS2 owners.

It sounds like a box with seperate discs for each game soundtrack of the series, which would be cool. Otherwise, maybe it's a $50 t-shirt. Either way, it's way way way outside what I could reasonably justify paying for an even slightly inferior port of an already owned game, extras or no.

I'm just waiting for the inevitable port back to the GC (or release of the same game, whatever you want to call it). This whole situation reeks of Code: Veronica Syndrome to me...

The Soundtrack Box is 5 discs.

And the controls are generally spot on, although Headshots seem to be slightly trickier to get, It may just be the game, or I may just need to get used to aiming better. (I personally like the Dual Shock 2)

1,2,3,CV,4? 1,2,3,CV,0? Do they leave a game out, or do they combine a couple games on a disc? Have you had a chance to listen to them yet? Are they full scores? Or are they that kind of dance-remix-inspired-by-the-music-in-the-game-type crap?

The same soundtrack boxset has been out on import for ages now, surprised no 1 has made a torrent already, I got mine just for 1 track :emb:

Cost $119 on its own from play-asia, so $119.95 is a steal with the game & toy:

Thats freaking cool. Definately a good deal when that's in context.

AS for Galfordo/Gamejunkie fucking moochers.

my Firewall is freaking weird for Bittorrent and needs tweaking. I'll let you know.
