Heh, I pulled out my basic Guts figure I've owned for my entire adult life last night. Definitely need to upgrade...
That's the old one from the late 90s, right? I have all of those in storage.

I will probably post a few pics of all the Figmas later.

I also ordered a 1/6 figure stand for Skull Knight. For years he was solid as a rock but the last six months he keeps jumping. Maybe he senses Void nearby.

I'd probably buy his horse if they made it in that scale.

LEGO Minecraft "The Wool Farm" (260 pieces).

IMG_20210520_151320588_37.jpg

This one was a fairly easy build (2 big bags of bricks, 3 small ones). Assembling the base plates was the most time-consuming part.

This is a building set within a building set too, because, for variety, the large red sheep can be easily disassembled (mostly one stud connections) and changed into a big heart or giant parrot instead. I presume those are statues/monuments in the video game, but, as I've never played it, I don't know.

You get a Steve mini figure and three sheep (2 dyed adults and a lamb). Steve comes with a pair of shears (actually 2, in case you lose one) and the red and yellow sheep's larger four stud back bricks can be exchanged with flesh-colored ones to simulate them being shorn of their wool, which is a nice touch.

This is a silly-looking kit, but, I like it. Most of the other Minecraft sets are more combat orientated, so, this peaceful, everyday life one is a nice change. The minimalist, blocky style will turn off some people, but, that's what Minecraft looks like, and there's a retro LEGO charm to it. Pretty good value too (retails for 20 dollars, I spent 16). 3.5/5.0 balls of wool.

Indeed lol
The prices of licensed statues have absolutely sky rocketed in this hobby in recent years…but admittedly, so has the quality of the collectibles too (particularly at this scale).

You’re exactly right; when it comes to our side-hobbies, we can’t take any of this shyt with us so I might as well play my favorite games and view my favorite characters while I’m still able to do so lol

No judgement here. It's your money. Spend it how you want, sir.

FedEx dropped off 6 more sets from Walmart this morning, 17(!) more still en route. That nursing home stuff is a bullshit lie, I rob banks for a living. 😁

Really hard to see the figures in those boxes. Unboxing video would be great.

I MIGHT do a 'open up and see them' series but I have no place to display them currently so even if I do that, it would be more of a 'look at them in their plastic mold housings' than anything elae.

That first edition of Berserker Armor Guts comes with volume 27 bundled in. As I understand it, it's quite 'teh rarez'.

I will also post an image of the cross stitch my wife did of the Volume 27 cover image. She did it for me back when I was recovering from my eye surgeries circa 2008-2009. 20,000 stitches and by FAR, my moat treasured Berserk related possession.

I think Miura probably would have greatly appreciated someone doing that. I wish I'd have thought to tag him on a photo of it.

IMG_20210524_163333111_37.jpgLEGO Ninjago "Skull Sorcerer's Dragon" (1,016 pieces).

This one took some doing, about 3-1/2 hours of building (8 large bags of bricks, 10 small ones). The environment wasn't too tough, but, the huge creature is fairly complex and there were some tricky bits. You'll need some serious space to display it all (over a square foot).

IMG_20210524_184637040_37.jpg

The bone dragon main attraction features a rib cage that opens to drop a green capsule full of spiders and bones (yuck) and 2 disc-stud-firing shoulder cannons. The tail fluidly snakes back-and-forth, which I also like. The tattered wings are mixed media; fabric over LEGO armatures.

This kit is also a board game, a RPG lite of sorts. The spinning top works as the die (movement & combat), the brown stands keep track of your HP (gold hearts), the figures are the playing pieces, and the lava-and-stone structures are the play surface (a paper board is also included). The center bridge platform rotates and the falling statue is a booby trap.

Lots of cool mini figures in this set. The Skull Sorcerer himself, 2 Awakened Warriors, heroes Kai, Nya, and Jay, and an axe woman statue. The heroes have two different expressions and they all get various weapons and gear.

IMG_20210524_165455520_37.jpg

This is an impressive undead beast; it'd make a great centerpiece in any collection. It's a pricier kit (80 bucks), but, I think it's worth it, and you need it if you want to combine it with the other 3 sets to complete the larger board game environment. 5.0/5.0 moldy lizard bones.

Do any of you ever fuck with people trying to identify toys online? In many of the toy groups I belong to on FB, we do that all the time, especially on shit everyone should already know. We "compete" trying to come up with the funniest and stupidest answers we can. Like a guy posted a G.I.JOE Viper and Copperhead and I told him that he had the Road Trippin' Cobra Commander and Ninja Force General Grievous 2-pack. We don't do it to be mean, just for laughs, and several other people do give them the right answers.
