Love that Orgroid (large scale one too!) and the original Gakken Legioss!

A few more Macross figures I've got...

OG Yamato 1/60s. Got all the 1/48s too, but don't have a group pic.

I'm all over the place. Some stuff from other genres

Some Gundam toys (not models). Pre-assemble and very poseable. These were a fantastic line. I highly recommend them. Very large scale too. I believe they're comparable to Perfect grades.

Cool stuff StealthLurker. I never bought any of the version 1 1/60 Yamato's. Everyone says the version 2's are far superior, so I didn't bother with them. I currently only have one version 2 Yamato, Elintseeker, and it is beautiful. I only have one 1/48 Yamato, VF-1J Miria Super Valkyrie. I don't really like it, the plastic looks and feels cheap and it is not very sturdy. I am not sure if I will buy anymore 1/48's.

Yeah around the time Yamato came out with their first valks (version 1 1/60s) I was actively collecting. At the time this was huge because for the first time in many years, new macross figures were being made again. Around the time the second gen 1/60s came out I was no longer collecting. Yeah the 1/60 Elint and Super Ostrich are cool. I've got 2 of each.

The 1/48s were a big improvement at the time of their release due to having "perfect transformation". Unlike the original 1/60s you had to remove and re-attach parts to transform. Also the larger scale and higher level of detail. Prior to this, the only way to get a "high level" detail 1/48 scale was via a very expensive and rare garage kit.

Do you have the Yamato GBP-1S armored valkyrie? That one is very impressive imho. But in general, the Yamatos are not for everyone. I slightly prefer the Taka/Bandai molds due to nostalgia and durability... however in the greater Macross toy/model fan community, Yamatos are the hot stuff these days. Some 1/48s which originally sold for around 200 bucks can be worth 400 or more now.

That C-888 Dai Atlas is a KO. Hope you didn't spend too much on it. However it does fall into the old-sought-after KO category. Its worth about $100 nowadays.

I don't have the GBP-1S Armor. I wouldn't mind having the Takatoku version or the version 2 1/60 Yamato or a 1/48 Yamato. Haven't found any for a good price yet. I also like the Takatoku/Bandai valkyries, I prefer the version 2 Yamato's though. I have a VF-1S Takatoku with the box and a Transformers Jetfire. I also really like the Bandai Macross Frontier DX Chogokin valkyries. They also have version 1's and renewal versions. The renewal versions seem to sell out to pre orders, they are also very expensive when you find them. The differences don't seem to be as drastic as the Yamato versions 1 and 2.

I don't really collect anymore, but I do still pick up some things here and there. I used to have my entire Transformers collection on display, but available space has become a problem so about 70% of the collection is in storage. I boiled everything down to my top tier favorites. I wish I had the space to keep Brave Maximus and Emperor Starscream out.

Sweet masks, I don't know if I've seen all of those on your FB wall.

Only question that popped up in my mind was: you only have 7 SNES Games?!?

Yeah, only 7 right now, but 2 of those 7 are Turtles in Time and Mega Man X. I'm currently rebuild that and my Saturn collection.

Doesn't look like waifu material...what is it?

That's the kaiju version of David Horvath and Sun Min Kim's Icebat character. He's from their Uglydoll series, which started as a line of plush designer toys but eventually made it to vinyl. This one is made of sofubi - Japanese "soft vinyl." Sofubi lets you get better detail in your sculpts but is more expensive and is almost 100% produced in Japan.

Got this some days ago:
qeJqUGN.jpg

Kongiku from Muramasa.
Was actually released in May but I didn't think about ordering it back then, managed to find it at a domestic shop.
Yes the lantern lights up but I don't have the right batteries. Alter needs to make some Dragon's Crown figures.

The store I went to today had a Dynaman Godaikin. I had a hard time leaving that behind.

I'll be receiving this lovely figure in a few days:

Other than an October pre-order, I'll be holding off on any new purchases until after Wonderfest and SDCC.

My brother bought several Detolfs to display his jumbo vinyl robot figures/statues. Have you assembled the display cases yet? It was a pain in the a$$ to put together, but boy do they look great.

Yea the metroplex and voltron s sitting on top of the detolfs. It helps if you have 2 people but putting them together by yourself is not bad as long as you have space to flip the case end over end.

You're lucky, on a couple of the display cases he bought, Ikea messed up a bit on the measurements. We couldn't get the back and side glass "walls" to fit along the carved grooves of the top and bottom wood bases.
We had to chisel/carve out an extra 1/16 of an inch from the grooves to make them fit.
It really pays to measure and make sure everything fits together on any ikea furniture projects.
