Is the American board game industry actually as fucked as it seems right now do to the tariff situation?
yes and no. prices for chinese manufacturing has been increasing year over year. they shot up even more during covid thanks to shipping prices and never came back down. this already pushed some companies to dabble in US manufacturing.
I suspect a hybrid approach where parts are made in china, but the final game is assembled elsewhere to avoid tariffs. Companies have been doing that for decades anyways.
