I don't think you (or anyone else) are going to have to worry about that. From what Anderson Cooper's open letter said (released in his friend, Andrew Sullivan's blog), he basically doesn't want anyone to care about his private life or sexual affinities because he's a reporter, and as long as he does a good job reporting, that's all that matters.

I've always had a tremendous amount of respect for Cooper, since I remember him in high school when his hair wasn't white, being a reporter for Channel One (a "hip" news show they'd play at schools) and being balls deep reporting from Bosnia during the war to a bunch of teenagers who weren't paying attention. I remember thinking back then he was a crazy motherfucker.
