LOL

Yeah, I preordered My-Hime from TRSI on the 11 of December. I believe that was the day it was listed.

I guess I really am predictable. ;)

I preordered mine on December 6th, so it had to have been listed earlier than that. Not that it really matters, but eh. My order was placed within minutes of me seeing it mentioned on the main page. You'd probably be interested in knowing that both seiyuu's reprise their roles in My-Otome. I use the term role loosely, seeing as My-Otome doesn't really have anything in common with the original series other than the character designs. Most of the characters' personalities crossed over as well, but a few are quite different. At least the reuse of character designs was intentional, not like in Hirashi Hirai's case. Which, ironically enough, he was involved with My-HiME but did not work on My-Otome.

here a link :D
Do us a favor and remove the link from your post.

The show has been LICENSED by Geneon and if fansubbers actually kept to their "word" or code of "honor" then that fansub shouldn't even be available. But fansubbers are only human and we know that humans, for the most part, can't keep their word or have any honor at all. ***SEE MY POST A FEW POSTS DOWN FOR AN APOLOGY TO FANSUBBERS*** I'm leaving this here so no one says I'm editing what I say.

Why not buy the R2 DVD? Oh wait, that costs money, something people don't like to spend.

And fansubs are so easy to obtain, there's no reason for you to link us to them. Most everyone here is anti-piracy and those that aren't have the courtesy not to post links to the things they download. You can talk about shows you've seen, just don't tell us HOW you saw it or post links to them.

Thanks.

That's cool. I probably waited to order it until I had enough to use a Got Anime coupon discount and free shipping. I'll check out My-Otome eventually... I'm sure it'll be licensed if it hasn't already. ;) Well, that is, Bandai will probably license it if Hime does well enough...

I was surprised it took so long for My-HiME to get licensed. I'm sure that Otome's announcement will come much quicker. I'd really be shocked if HiME doesn't do well over here. It has just about everything in it.

I'm also surprised that The Second Raid hasn't been licensed yet, or at least hasn't been announced yet. I figured ADV would be all over it the moment it was announced. I haven't been watching much anime lately, but I wrapped this one up a few days ago. I was weary of TSR being pulled off in 13 episodes, but I had nothing to worry about. Now my only concern is when it will be available on R1. Well, that and when they'll make another series.

I'm guessing TSR HAS been licensed, they are probably holding off on making any announcements for any number of reasons, my guess would be:

1) Japanese licensers want the R2 DVDs to be out completely before the announcement

and/or

2) ADV is trying to prevent what happened with Fumoffu where they announced it and it took 12-18 months to actually release

I just hope if ADV gets it, they actually license ALL the supplementatl material from the DVDs, as there is a lot of it, and it's all pretty good. Given ADV's hit or miss (mostly miss) with Japanese extras, I don't see this as likely.

And no, I'm not saying ADV having English language extras is a bad thing, before anyone puts words in my mouth (though that's more of an AOD.com trend than N-G.com).

And with TSR, after what I've seen (up to eps 6 or 7 I think), it makes me wonder how much longer they will go with FMP, unless ***SPOILER*** Sousuke stops questioning himself, along with his team members. ***END SPOILER***

Yeah it's good stuff, I bought all the DVD's about 4 months after they were all released. 2nd gig is pretty good too, waiting for the next volume to get released.

As for the Hellsing OVA, I watched it (then deleted it, 1. because the encoding was horrible, and 2. because it had no subs), looks great and I will defintly being buying :buttrock:. Anyone know how many eps they said they were doing?

The end of TSR is good, it gets pretty dramatic near the end, and I can see another series in the future. Now I just have to wait for the DVD's to get released over here.

Then I owe big aplogies to fansub groups, as I assumed it wasw a fansub. Instead, fuck DVD pirates.

As far as the length of the series, I believe I read it was planned for 6 episodes, however I can't find that information any longer, and all the news I am finding says the episode count is unknown as of yet.

Considering the first episode was pushed back MANY times, I'm guessing it could be a while before the next disc/episode is released.

How long is the Manga? Since the OVA is supposed to be following that, my guess is it could be just as long as any Manga to Anime adaptation.

I've seen the first season of SAC and really enjoyed it. It's not quite as "deep" as the movies, but then again, Mamoru Oshii is a God. ;)

I have the 3rd disc of the 2nd Gig sitting on my shelf. I was going to watch it this past weekend, but decided to finish up the first live action Gokusen R2 DVDs I bought, along with getting back into Galaxy Express 999. 4 more discs and the series is finished.

For anyone that bought the DVDs, make sure you've got properly encoded discs. The DTS track is fucked up on the first volume w/ DTS and there was a labeling issue with the 2nd disc where you could get the extraless DTS disc labeled as Dolby Digital and vice versa. Vol. 3 has a problem on the dub track that was never corrected (in the US at least, I believe the R2 UK release, which is an NTSC->Pal conversion, so it has other issues, corrected the English audio problem on vol. 3).

Cutie Honey The Movie - what a crack pot it is. :D
It's must for silly costume b-movie as long as you watch with your head empty... :p
still seeing familiar faces doing evil dudes/dudas was fun...
If you "liked" Cutey Honey the Movie, definitely check out Media Blaster's Kekko Kamen stuff. It's even worse, which makes it that much better if you know what I mean.

What's better than seeing a poorly acted movie in Japanese with a heroine that runs around naked? Nothing is.

By the way you said you were watching Galaxy Express. Did you mean Galaxy Express 999 coz that's my favourite TV series... :p

Tachikoma is really hyper and funny and I remember when Tachikoma was carrying a big wrench. :tickled:

Mokoto is just plain tough and sexy for an anime babe.

I watch Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex and Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG on Toonami every Saturday and the anime series is really cool. ;)

Spoiler...

I thought that Motoko Kusanagi had gotten her head blown off when she was boarding the plane unless it was an imposter to make everyone think that was really her???.

Media Blasters released the Kekko Kamen DVDs on R1 DVD. Each one can be found for $18-$20, so you can get away with paying $60 for all 3 movies.

And yes, Galaxy Express 999 TV is the series I was talking about. I'm 67 episodes into it. 54 more to go. Then I also have the 3 movie DVDs and 3 TV special DVDs to watch.

You don't really want us to answer that for you, do you? I thought they actually cleared that up in the same episode?

And I'll give you a hint... who is the main character in the show? Do you REALLY think they'd kill a main character with more episodes to go, and another season to boot? ;)

it's interesting the things woven into GE999 with Captain Harlock... which was one of my fav manga as well... I still remember reading the mange first time in 5th grade... he he

I personally found the movies bit disorienting...
you will know what I mean after watching the movies...

I had a feeling that Mokoto just sent an extra body to fool the goverment and the military into thinking that was her. I was up late watching Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex and I was barely awake when I saw it. :lolz: ;)

I am glad that Tachikoma had gotten rebuilt since it's A.I. chip was still intact and Mokoto had made the Tachikoma's. ;)

I just picked up all of Love Hina yesterday from a friend.

All of the TV series with the box, the spring and christmas specials, and Love Hina again, for just $50 for all R1 official DVDs.

I love when good deals like this surface.
