I have no idea what this site is but if this is true, I'm stoked.

The first game is a technological marvel due to the creature's AI.

The Ripleys have some of the most shit luck in all of entertainment media.

One of my favorite games. It's a work of art. I'm super hyped.

It may be the best game based on a licensed property ever made. It's in the discussion.

There's been not so quiet rumblings about this for a few months. That and Virtua Fighter 6/Reboot are like the worst kept secrets in Sega right now.

I liked Alien Iso well enough (it's certainly the best non-arcade game made from the property) but let's not go crazy. It has a lot of boring padding and it's like twice as long as it should be for the kind of game it is.

That said, happy to see the developer get another crack at it. Perhaps a spooky season replay is in order next year.

I think it's a completely tension ridden experience from start to finish. Not boring at all. Once you play through it a few times, you know it's not as spontaneous as they'd like you to believe it is but the enemies can see you from pretty far away and running gets you in big trouble when the creature is around. Doesn't replay as well in certain sequences for sure but padded? I didn't feel that at all.

It's one of the ten best games I've played in the last decade.

That’s the one where you have to hide right? Tried it for an hour progressed nowhere and turned it off. Lmao

I tried so hard to like the original, but I just dislike stealth gameplay so much that even when it's well made I have little patience for it.

I think the game is cool as hell as I did watch someone play it (not a thing I usually do, but see above as to why) and they were clearly having a blast with it.

I loved throwing noise makers and pipe bombs to get the creature to come out and slaughter the mercenaries patrolling the halls in the third act.

I also love how Amanda sort of 'becomes' just like the alien as the game goes on. Using the air ducts, moving silently, unseen as she completes objectives.

The only thing I didn't like about the narrative was the dissonance when the station was on fire right before that final spacewalk. The alien was establishd to be afraid of fire half way through the game but when you're trying to move through that communications room to the airlock, the whole place is ablaze and two xenos are stomping around. It didn't make sense to me based on everything else they'd established but whatever.

I also wonder if the alien on the Torrens at the very end is the same one that Ripley got rid of when they jettisoned the medical module earlier in the game.
