I'll have my gate open sometime later today, here's my info:

Name: Tom
Town: Alaska

If you can, buy something from Nook's as I need to upgrade his shop. I have free apples and pears for anyone who wants to stop by. Added people to the list so I'll also see if anyone else is around. :)

Does anybody know the mechanics of notes in bottles? I've received some from people when I haven't been online in awhile. Does the game give you other people's designs and bottle messages when you connect?

yeah everyone if you need guides on this stuff, www.animalxing.com is the place for all that junk from complete item guide, gardening, hair styles, face styles, and so on.

Edit: updated the list, added three more people and didn't get any response about the people I marked problems with.

Anyone get a perfect town yet? I checked out some of the threads in the Nsider forum under Animal Crossing, and they say you need like 12-14 trees and 3 flowers in each acre... which is quite a nuisance, since I had to draw and quarter the land up by dropping items (without reference points it's kinda hard to tell if my character has walked 1 grid or 1 and 1/2 grid) but the flower requirement kills me... how would people crossbreed flowers if there was a 3 flower per acre restriction

Well I'm just totally confused now... after spending half an hour drawing up my town into a 4x4 grid, and then planting a few and then chopping a few, I decided to go back to Pelly and she tells me, 'Kanazawa is a great place! It's come a long way!' Stunned, I went back to check the grids, and there were clearly some grids that did not satisfy the 12-14 tree and 3 flower requirement... in fact, some grids had 9 or less trees...

Now I'm totally confused now... but I hope my town will stay perfect long enough for me to get the golden watering can.

I'm getting on Saturday tomorrow, 4 February 2006, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. EST (1 p.m. to 3 p.m. GMT) so if you want to come to my town log on at that time. I might stay an hour longer if there's lots of people on, but I do have to get to Chinatown at 1 p.m. so 11 a.m. (4 p.m. GMT) is as late as I'm staying online.

I have Apples, Coconuts, Pears, and Cherries at the moment, and my town is hosting a flea market tomorrow as well so don't miss it :buttrock:

people might give up on the axe but the can, I think you only get one of those per character.

I'm giving blood at around 1:30 p.m. EST, and after that I'm gonna go check out the McDonald's that is 7 miles from where I live, I figure, since I'm already half way there anyways. I think my town gates will open at around 2:30 p.m. (7:30 p.m. GMT) or if anyone wants to open his gates for me to visit, I'd like to check out your towns. Anyways, see you guys then :)
