I've noticed a few threads here and there that don't seem to have titles to them. I have to wonder why this is. Is it because the poster forgot to put a title in, or because it's a thread marked for deletion?

If the former is true, is there some way in UBB to correct this, say, by putting in an error message if no subject is put into the thread?

Nothing too major or condescending or majorly condescending. Just something like:

<strong> For the convenience of users, we cannot allow blank subject lines. Please enter a subject line here and hit "Send."</strong><hr></blockquote>

Then, there could be a dialog box and send button underneath the message.

This happens when a post heading is deleted (edited to nothing) by the author. You end up with a blank. I dont know why there is no fascility to completely delete a post. Any reasons for that mods ???

You see, I've been through the desert on a thread with no name. It feels good to be out of the rain la la la la... sorry about that. I just had to do it.

You used to be able to delete your own posts, but that feature got abused (just like the name change) so it got turned off.

People who edit their subject lines down to nothing are tacosticks.
