why is it that terry is the only person in the game that has english dialect (ex. come on get serious, okay, burn, crack shoot, power wave, stand up, etc.) and everyone else has to speak in japanese?

A very funny German, indeed! Check out "Kain from MotW" Thread! Ah and besides Kain is speaking Japanese most of the time. Only his specials are in a "pseudo German"!

I would appreciate, if they hire real German, English, Spanish, etc. speakers like Data East did on Windjammers, I guess.

Windjammers has yet the best speakers when it comes to "correctly speaking".

Sometimes when I hear voice actors speak a language that is not their own it seems like they aren't even trying. They can mess up such simple words. I've taken numerous language classes and it isn't that hard to say simple words. I did Terry's taunt thing at the end of the match where Terry says "sorry" and my friend who was playin me didn't even know what he said so he asked me "what did he say?". Terry says it like "Saowry" WTF???

SNK Engrish is a time honored tradition, be it text or samples from the games. I love it, and shudder to think if they got all weirded out about trying to have native speakers for each language. English exists to be mangled!

Due to the instructions manual.

But it sounds like "Raging Storm" and furthermore "Raging Storm" makes more sense for a super´s name!

Tell me about it. The first thing the comes to mind is that awful 80s TV series Shogun. There was absolutly no effort put in to the Japanese that was spoken by the entire American cast.

Its sounds like they are "Saying" the words instead of "speaking" the words. They sound like all the lazy kids in my language classes i've taken. You know the kids who use their full on native accent to pronounce foriegn words. Americans are usually the most guilty of it. I remember when I was living in Germany and the Germans would speak english to us and we hardly had any problems understanding them cuz they'd try their hardest to speak english but when I'd be in my language class(german, french, spanish) it was a horror to hear my fellow americans say some words. Americans pronounce the German word "Nicht" pronouncing the "CH" like in english.

Hey Spinmaster X. There are 2 ways of speaking "ch" in German.

No joke, pal! And you can find the difference real fast in just one word.

Male cook is "Koch" in German.
Female cook is "Köchin" in German.

But both "ch" are spoken in a different way!

Sorry, but you won´t find any.

Then you should eat "Torte" instead. This is female!

"die" Torte; "eine" Torte; these are female articles.
