That is indeed interesting...

Spike Spiegel said:Stop right there, people!!!! I traded this one to a member on here for a working one plus $400, thank you very much. Do NOT try to run my name through the mud, as that is NOT the case.

Spike Spiegel said:The one with the black screen I got was thanks to arcade god... I had a member here ask for the unit and $400 for his working one. He wanted one for display, and so I paid $400 for the broken one I got from arcade god, and then took that and pain ANTOHER $400 for the one that worked... I don't even own that one from that post. Shit, if I could only remember the member on here that traded me that, damn it. I'll try to find his name so you guys know I'm legit.
Jesus, this whole thing is getting out of hand.![]()

Name's scott. I traded that broken one to him for a working one... plus I had to pay him another $400. So I dont' even own that one anymore.
This situation's messed up enough. The last thing I need is someone trying to make me out to be a thief. Thank you.
BTW, I did put him in his feedback... look in his feedback. I was looking for ANOTHER TS cart. Feel free to send him a PM about it. He has it in his home still, I would assume.
TonK said:For the record, my opinion is that the 2 should split the cost...
The only reason Steve should split is because he didn't put it in the useless static baggie...
Other than that, its the buyers responsibility...
And personally, if I were in this situation, minus the static baggie incident, there would be NO WAY I would refund someone... my stuff has always been sold as-is, and I pack with care...
And the new stuff I sell has the manufacturers warranty...
Static didn't kill the board.
I'll reserve my "other" thoughts...
Steve is good people, and there is NO FUCKING WAY IN HELL that board left his house non-working.
Highlander67 said:You know I love ya TonK but at the same token, as a buyer, when I pay for something, I expect it to be delivered and working. Granted, the item was used and am I no way accusing Spike of sending a bum board, but even if insurance was put on the package, most carriers would not cover it because of trying to prove that the board worked in the first place; therefore Billd would be back to square one. Also to, Stating something as "Sold As-Is" only works if Spike explained that to Billd. If he did, then that ends it. But if he didn't, then why should Billd only get back half of his money? I guess being in a situation like this last year has left me a bit jaded considering I went through a similar issue last year with a member on another board.
As for Static, if it didn't kill it and the box is in good shape, then why did the board die?

billd420 said:I was told the cartridge was working just fine. Steve even went so far as to test it directly before shipping. It wasn't sold to me "as-is" IIRC (I saved all of the PM's if I'm mistaken).
@Phillip: The cartridge was tested in my Sega Astro city in my confirmed working SF3: Third Strike motherboard. Even after Steve's 3rd strike black screened, the Japanese cartridge booted right up, so I know its not my hardware that was at fault. Also, I have a TON of experience with CPS3 hardware. I have had every game at one point or another for CPS3, not to mention I have seen first hand every revision of hardware.

TonK said:All I can add at this point, unless further evidence surfaces, is that a 50-50 split should happen.
Is there some kind of "Void" sticker on the cart?
If bill opened it, well...
I'm not out to get anyone here...
I'm not blaming...
But this is the only solution...
billd420 said:There are capcom stickers on the sides of the cart, they were sliced from whoever installed a battery into the cartridge (its a non-capcom issue 1/2 sized 3.7v). So the cartridge came to me with the seals already broken.

billd420 said:No, they weren't peeled back, they were sliced with a blade, probably razor before I recieved the cart. You were mis-informed.
And no, I'm not nuts. I think 75% is a very reasonable settlement for this matter. Keep in mind I did nothing wrong here. I purchased a WORKING, tested before shipping game, and it arrived DOA. Please explain why I'm nuts for asking for 3/4 of my money back instead of ALL OF IT? I think it is you who is nuts, and I do not think your opinion in this matter should be relevant since you and Steve seem to be discussing via PM.
Had the money transfer happened with paypal, and had I opened a dispute, I would get a full refund no questions asked.
