Hya everybody. A friend of mine has a little issue concerning a friend of her and two -apparently- asshole parents or something like that. She's asking me about law and stuff, and thing is that I know law... mexican law, not American. I was hoping there was somebody there who could answer her doubts ...
In any case, here's the thing (this is the conversation I had on msn. "He" is Aven, my friend's friend):
"The other day, he was going to spend the night here, since he's friends with me and my brother. He's only 17. Well, around 11 that night, his father called. He told Aven to get home now or he'd call the police on him.
Even though Aven had permission to be over from his parents and my parents.
Well, about a minute later, his mom calls and THREATENS me that if I don't get him home now that she'll call the police on ME.
So to make this short. Jared and I took him home. His mom got in my face for no reason, called me names and yelled at me.
While Aven's father beat the living crap out of him.

No, I am 18.
Well, while that was going on, they said that they never want him back again. So he grabs his stuff to come with us, when the cops appear. His father had called the cops and made it seem as if Aven was a bad kid.
Aven lightly tapped his dad on the neck with his palm, but yet his dad beats the crap out of him, after his dad was the one instigating it!
So the cops were going to arrest him. Thank god I was there to make it so he was entrusted into my safety.
But the cops said he can't stay with us, if his parents call and tell him to go home.
Even though they said they don't want him.
All because he's the only one who works in that household.
He supports them, while going to school, just so their fat asses can sit on the couch all day.
So now he dreads that call. Tonight they called to harass us though.
So my parents are saying since he's not legal, that he has to decide between going back or a foster house."
In short... is there something they can do about it? My friend and her brother, I mean. What are their options?
And second, could they had really arrested them?
Thanks in advance.
