I recall the thread moe made years back of the 3do vs the Jaguar both being shit but which has the marginally better library.

Well let’s do a rerun but for the worst games console attachment.

I’m not including the Mega CD as it has Snatcher, Sol-Feace, Shining Force CD and Nighttrap (Cheesiest game ever) and it’s my poll so if you don’t like it make your own.

The library of the 32x and the Jaguar CD is much more questionable however… vote!

My 32x died (too lazy to fix) and it's still better than the Jag CD.

Ribbon cable? It’s common on those, and easy to fix.

My Jaguar actually caught fire so I never even got round to umm… experiencing the joy of Jag CD.

32x has awesome versions of Space Harrier, Afterburner, Virtua Racing and Virtua Fighter.

May not be much in this day and age but IMO those four titles alone swallow the Jag library whole, mebbe except T2k, love it.

Yeah it's the ribbon cable. Are there replacements nowadays?
Yeah a guy sells them on eBay.

Yup. If talking about the main consoles then at least the Jag port of Doom was awesome on release, unlike the 32x one. Not played it but by all accounts the new port of Doom on 32x with Mega CD is supposed to be really good.

The 32x should be measured against the Jaguar. The Jaguar CD has a horrible library and is complete trash.

Jaguar CD has that Jeff Minter light show thing right?

But yes, the 32x had a good list of 1st party games for a few months of its short life.

The sadist in me would have wanted to see how (badly) it would have handled Sega Rally, Daytona USA and Virtua Fighter 2 if the Neptune had been released and the 32x was supported for another year.

Omfg... this is like choosing between having your brains blown out with a shotgun or a desert eagle... neither outcome is good.

I like the Jag, but the CD was trash. Unlike the Sega CD, the Jag CD offers zero processing upgrades. It was just more capacity and audio.

Conceptually, the 32X was a brilliant idea. Take your gigantic MegaDrive userbase, and let them upgrade to a new experience .
Execution just failed on every front.

There’s a few good 32X games. Jaguar CD has nothing. Regular Jaguar has nothing.
