I just received my 2 slots that got repaired after being dead for almost an year.

Now I need to figure out where can I get R G B Sync audio left and audio right to avoid a mess of cables going over the board.

Is it possible?

Can I get +5v from under the board too? Or is it only possible to get on the jamma connector?

I don't want to open another thread just to ask this so I'll ask here to save space :)

Do you think it's still worth adding coin and service switches if you already have unibios?

Since unibions can trigger those with a controller I don't see the point in doing so but maybe I'm missing something.

If you're already installing the UniBIOS, you don't really need to add a coin or service switch. If you were keeping the original BIOS installed, then you'd want those 2 buttons also.

I don't mean to hi-jack this thread, but seeing as I don't have full posting privileges, I apologize in advance. I am also going to be consolizing a 2-slot (MV2F I believe, I haven't received it yet) and would like to use an 8-pin din connector for euro-scart video (Framemeister). I know this is possible to do, but what i would like to know is if it can be done with stereo sound and if there is a how-to / diagram i can follow for it. Thanks in advance!

I have one more question and you might know the answer, would that type of setup still require an encoder such as the neobitz?

If you want to hook it to a normal NTSC TV without using something like the framemeister, you need to encode the video.

You don't need an encoder if you're using a direct RGB connection to a device that supports it (such as framemeister or sony PVM). Otherwise, you need one.

Thank you very much! That is what I thought, but it was somewhat confusing. Hopefully I won't run into too many other questions.

Ok, so I received my MV2F today and upon removing the metal cover I saw some questionable damage to the Toshiba chip directly to the right of the memory card reader. I have attached pictures, could someone tell me if this will end up giving me issues?

It should be fine. This is a confirmed working board, right? Never make a CMVS out of an untested board.
