They're not neo-heads, but hey, they gave the neogeo love. Plus they interviewed Frank Cifaldi from lostlevels.org earlier that month and did a damn good job. So. go figure.

Plus they get major bonus points for pointing out that Dion Dakis was in Cho Aniki.

Yeah, I suppose that's true. Not everyone loves the Neo Geo like most of us here. They probably shouldn't have made a show about the Neo, since they don't seem to know much about it...but at least they tried, I guess. Nice to see the platform receiving some love.

I listened to it last night while cleaning. Not bad - better than usual. There was less of the talking over one another and more patience. I liked that. They were about to go on about how someone could drop a faster drive in a CD but the one dude put a stop to that idea (thank god).

Somewhere during the 57 minute mark, they bring up an alternative title for King of Fighters. No one answered the question, so what were they talking about...the subtitle in Fatal Fury?

I suppose it's nice to hear the Neo talked about at all...but it'd be nicer if the people involved knew what in the hell they were talking about.

it's really disappointing they did not know most of the time what they were talking about most of the time, one guy kept saying how he can get fatal fury special for cheap - who cares?
I was expecting much more from this podcast.

A little late to the party but...

It killed me with the why do you like the neo geo? Uh, so I am cooler then my friends!

WTF is that???

Of course it couldn't be something about playing a game with a good friend playing great competitive games or about how when you actually learn how to play the fighters, the fun factor increases by 10. The response wasn't even about the little touches that go into a game like the Andy puppet that Mai breaks out or even the good character designs.

No, I like it because it makes me look cool....tools.

At least they gave the ngpc some love.

Hey guys I think this is my first post on the forum though I've been coming here for years. I Just listened to Retronaughts, at first I was delighted to hear talk about Neo Geo... After listening to the whole thing I felt terrible about it. I'm glad that people are talking about it but I though it was a hollow discussion with no love for the games. I was also surprised they only mentioned The neo geo pocket at the end of the discussion they disregarded so many aspects of neo geo and snk That It made the games sound as if they where half assed and a ripoff. I Grew up with neo Geo I never owened oned but I always played the arcades I think While others played Other Arcade games I usually played neogeo games. I actually made alot of friends in the arcades whom i still talk to everyday today and whom had great passion for those style of games. I would assume that the people running the show never really experienced what the system had to offer.

Anyway I just had to come to this forum and im delighted to see still up and running and a discussion about this.

I think there just needs to be a neo-geo.com podcast. Some members have to have the radio/college radio experience to be able to do it.

I've been saying that too. Video game discussions from people with a common classic gaming and Neo Geo background.

These guys doing this podcast were about as qualified to talk about the history of SNK as the owner of this website....

The alternative name they were speaking of was "Survivor" and was the original name that was going to be used for KOF.

Yeah, I requested a podcast like this on the 1Up radio boards, and the end result was a little flat. It was nice to see them try, but some more knowledge on the table woulda been cool.
