that's what I was told by someone selling arcade PCBs - he sold the AvP already. apparently they are both original (Capcom) and in PCB form not A/B boards (called encapsulados in spanish - placas/plaquetas are the names for PCBs).

what gives? I don't want to think this guy is full of shit as I'm going to be buying quite alot of material from him - but given this stuff, he might be. could bootleg versions of the games exist as standard PCBs?

I have personally owned a dimahoo in single pcb form and yes it was a bootleg ( not the offical single board format ) so I would suspect you could find other bootleg cps 2 board in the single board format although it would be (EXTREMELY) rare seeing that most of the cps 2 library is not worth the effort profit wise to bootleg.

Gigawing, Diamahoo, Street Fighter zero 3, Marvel vs Capcom, Street Fighter Anniversary however do come in offical single board format, these will all have batteries.

thanks for the reply!
when you say single board format you are making refference to the standard PCB format right? and if this is so and there are those games on PCB as you mentioned, available - is it possible Capcom released 19XX and AVP in this format and we are simply non the wiser? because twice the seller told me these are effectively original - non bootleg boards.
