Oh yeah. I'm planning on going for 1000/1000 and 1100/1100 on Mass Effect and Bioshock respectively. Both of those are pretty easy (though the former is time consuming, to say the least).

it took one whole play through just to go from level 59 to 60 for that damn achievement. But i used the time to try to knock off a few others. The only ones I never got were the use x amount of this power. I always played as a solider, and never used em too much from my crew.

in Bioshock, i was pissed to find out if you save all little sisters you get 100 pts. I was harvesting them bitches left and right.

these points are one of the greatest marketing ideas next to bottled water. Almost as useful as bottled water as well.

Anyone with 1000/1000 in EDF2017 is an awesome person.

I actually have 1000 in EDF twice. The game doesn't seem to get old.

Wish they would make a sequel with online co-op, but I guess they'll have to wait a while, now that Lost Planet 2's out.

I got 1000 in forza 3(easy, but takes waaay too long) and sega mega drive collection(easy, btzw it's that genesis collection, I don't know the exact englisch title)
and I got 200 in monkey island and banjo-kazooie(also working on 200 in banjo-tooie). I mostly play through the games once and replay them a few months later, but I'm not aiming at gaining all achievements very much. if I get more than 500 that's okay, it shows at least that I finished the game.

A couple of my friends see no use for these trophies whatsoever. My problem with having always been completion obsessed is that when you actually have a little bar showing your progress, you feel somewhat inadequate when you can't truly "complete" a game. That said, most of the Platinum trophies are out of my reach because I don't have the time or energy to put that much effort into a game, unless I really love it and have the time to play it several times over.

I've only been able to 100% Pixel Junk Shooter. Of the full length games, the only ones I am close on are God of War and Sega Genesis Collection. Otherwise it's just not going to happen. I've never been into specific challenges considering gaming is mainly just about destressing and enjoyment for me.

My Platinums:

Bayonetta
Dead Space
God of War II
God of War III
Ratchet and Clank: Crack in Time

As for 360 stuff, I haven't gotten up to 1000, but I've gotten pretty close with Mass Effect 2 and Lost Odyssey

I definitely like the feeling of completing a game, and the achievement/trophy systems encourage me to try for that, but sometimes with schedules and lack of motivation I just can't bring myself to do it.

nah it's not a bad game, but you can rinse all the g's in about 3 hours.

Oh I see, you were talking about games with easy gamerpoints. For some reason when you said Avatar I thought you were talking about the game based on James Cameron's Avatar. I looked up achievements for that game and they didn't look too easy, or at least they would probably take you a while.

Wow, that is just ridiculous. I enjoy unlocking achievements in games I actually like, but if I found myself playing the Hanah Montana game just for gamer points I might have to shoot myself.

He's got 1000/1000 in EDF2017, so by my own rules, he's a cool guy.

Makes you wonder if he's really getting any enjoyment out of those games, going by the date stamps, they are cained in 1-2 days and never touched again.I love going back to old games, hell it took 3 years for me to 1000 mass effect 1.

Yeah. I'm just coming back to Mass Effect now, too.

I like achievements/trophies, but I feel no need to pad my score with games I have no interest in playing otherwise. I see them as a badge of skill — when someone looks at my games history, maybe they'll say, "Hey, this dude isn't half bad."

Viva Piñata was one of the first Xbox 360 games I played and I've remained at 980 gamerpoints ever since, because fuck time requirement achievements.

No. He's played some Japanese games despite not knowing a lick of Japanese just for points, so I can only conclude that he's mentally disabled.

Platinums:
-God of War trilogy
-Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection

Once I'm up for it, all I need to do is run through Professional on RE5 and I'll have the Plat on that. And at this rate, I might be able to do it on RDR. Just gotta get those damn multiplayer trophies out of the way. I hate ones like that.

Edit: I guess if we are counting 200/200 on XBL and possibly 100% on PSN games, I have these to add:

200/200:
-Castlevania: SOTN

PSN 100%:
-Gunstar Heroes
-After Burner Climax

I have some 200/200s but no 1000/1000.

I am pretty close on a few, in the high 800 and 900s.

I have 1220/1250 on Oblivion, but Oblivion's achievements are mind numbingly easy.

I think I have all the trophies for Flower :emb:

It's a brillant marketing strategy to get people to buy games they would otherwise never even consider.
