Hello everyone,

I bought one of those 19 inch EYGO arcade monitors that was being sold on eBay a couple of weeks ago. The monitor will fit my cabinet. However, the monitor is fitted with a standard VGA connector, not a jamma connecter for the video connection. Am I completely hosed here or is there a way to wire the VGA connector to my Slot-1 Jamma video connector? If not, is there a converter box? Any help would be appreciated as I have been without my Neo Geo MVS going on two weeks now!!!

That VGA monitor is a no goooo...does'nt make any sense purchasing a Jamma to VGA converter if at all available because what you need is an RGB monitor.

I was afraid of that. The seller did not have any specs for me. He said that it would work with any arcade system including oldies like Pac-Man and any JAMMA based system. I did a search across the newsgroups. It looks like I've been taken along with several other folks. Apparently, the thing will not step down to standard resolution. <IMG SRC="smilies/ohno.gif" border="0">

Question: Where can I find a good price on a 19" RGB monitor replacement for my Neo Geo MVS?

were those the 150$ monitors? if so, the guy apparently had no clue and sold them for mame machines.. of course they work with pacman etc, as long as they're emulated on a pc.. but not with an actual machine.

Yep, those are the ones. Eh, it looks good hooked up to my Dreamcast VGA adaptor but that is not what I wanted it for. Maybe he just does not know the difference. Ahhhhh!!

I thought the same thing but if you click on "your price" it will show you the price. Thanks BB.
