Obskure Neo Games

Während ich so in dem grossen German-Thread herumtippelte und über Ninja Commando schrieb, fielen mir ein paar andere Neo Games ein, die selten bis gar nicht genannt werden. Spiele wie Ninja Commando Ninja Combat Aggressors of Dark Kombat/Gan Gan Ninja Master's Breakers/Breakers Revenge Kabuki...

    Again (and again): Ikaruga

Yeah I know, I'm late again. Funny eh, all the euphoric Ikaruga posts are gone. Seems that some ppl would be a lil' dissapointed about the game?! Well, not me. I think the game concept with the black and white shots works very well. Bullets are your friends if you choose your color wisely...

    FFS combo fun

Ah, what a game! I can't get enough. Best of Garou, 'nuff said. Anyway, let's start with Jubei. I like him a lot for his cookie Judo, and for his deadliness. I often try to do a jumping D - standing/ducked A, into a Neko Jarashi (twist trick, hcb+C) but I find it hard to do the twist trick...

    Last Blade Neo vs DC

I was playing lots of LB1+2 on Neo lately, and decided to do a little side-by-side comparison of LB2 on Neo and DC. While IMO not as brilliant as the monolithical first part, LB2 has some very nice gameplay elements, like the aerial repels or ex mode (tho some chars tend to overpower with it)...

Ralph Karel's article in German mag Man!ac

Yo ppl, in case you didn't know, Ralph Karels a.k.a Kyokugen Star has written a 6+ pages article about the Neo, which got published in the latest issue of the German gaming mag Man!ac. I tried to find some screens/links of/to it on the Man!ac website, but there are none, so I can't come up with...

    MS4 and debug bios

Daddelkingz, a German Neo site, mention in their MS4 review that the game would not work with the debug bios, i.e. the one from !Arcade! or the Neostore. Is this correct? And if so - does anyone know wether this is due to technical reasons...

New TV set - new problem

I bought a new TV set, a digital Thomson with a 70 cm tube, 100 Hz and 3 scart ports, two of them are RGB-ready. It's a multinorm unit, thus capable of PAL/NTSC with 50/60Hz. The consoles are connected via scart/RGB. The TV I used before was an analogue one, and the problem did not occur with...

    Garou MotW - Fighting Levels

I'm wondering about the minimum fighting level one has to have to fight against Kain. IMO, an AAA average will do, or is an A average enough? I mostly play on level 5 and usually get at least an AAA or S average, without continuing and with straight wins. Or does an A av. suffice?

    neo-geo.com Forum merger

I know this has been brought up before... What about merging 16Bit, KoF and Gameplay to one forum, like "Neo Gaming". Specially the KoF and Gameplay fora contain lots of junk, while the handful of useful/interesting topics in them get no attention. What do you ppl think?

    Samsho 2 juggling

I wonder how juggling (repeatedly hitting an opponent who is knocked into the air by a certain move/hit) is implemented into the SS2 engine. While fighting against Cham Cham with Genjuro, I jumped into a jump attack of Cham Cham, did a quick A + B, which and sent her back into the air (the...

    Write your NEO STORY!

Rules are simple, just build a little zany story around some Neo game titles! I'll start: The other day, I had a BURNING FIGHT with a RAguy from a van full of BASEBALL STARS, which I accidentally hit with my car. We CROSSED SWORDS behind their van, as suddenly, the guy pursed his CYBER LIP...

    The other Dreamcast games...

I'm talking about all those dating sims, weird Japanese-only RPGs and other more exotic stuff, like Atelier Marie & Elie, Canary, the Love Hina series, Never 7, Princess Maker, Memories Off 2nd/Pure, Yume no Tsubasa, Happy Lesson, Lack of Love... etc...etc... I simply can't understand why the...

    Neo Geo CD FAQ

Tak's ne-o-rama Neo Geo FAQ I just uploaded the very first version of my Neo Geo CD FAQ. The FAQ is part of a complete web site I'm about to finish, but I've decided to publish the FAQ stand alone to get some feedback first. So - any...

    KoF2001 changes, ups and downs

Finally... got my JPN copy of KoF2k1 today, and played it for the first six hours... ... Man, WHAT a bliss, woah hey! I almost fell over, supa-tight controls, overall a FRIGGIN' TOPS ENGINE, with every hour I got more excited. The new characters and the partly updated regulars are ace, apart...

    Sega Classics to XBOX?

According to the news section of PlanetDreamcast Sega joins forces with a company called Coolnet to port a variety of Saturn, Genesis and Dreamcast games to Billy's console. This news is from Voodoo Extreme. They also have a site <a...

    OK... Neo Double Dragon players

For the last two weeks, I kept playing Double Dragon from Technos. Quite nice, that one. Don't know why, but it reminds me of a blend of Breakers and Marvel vs. Capcom, spiced with a nice selection of useable characters, and one of the best Chackie Chan/Drunken Master versions in a Neo game...

Neo carts and CDs - an idea

I have an idea which could turn into a cool and useful web site/page. Very often, I see threads like "cart vs CD". Ppl keep asking about the differences between cart and CD versions of Neo games. We know by now that there *are* differences, but most of us (me included) don't know them all...

The AGH classic games on contemporary systems FAQ

I found a nice site with good infos about classic arcade games and their ports to more or less contemporary systems: The AGH Faq Most systems I know get a coverage, Saturn, Genesis, Neo, Turbo, Atari, Nintendo.
