I recommend to my customers to stop at 3.x UniBIOS. Check continuity between the top and bottom boards through that connector by the battery to see if the corrosion has caused problems with the top connector causing no signals to get through.

Check a few traces... Make sure the vias are good and continuity is good to the bottom side of the PCB.

No and I wish people would stop recommending that. Go read the data sheets for that ML2032 and you'll discover it is being WAY overcharged in that circuit. That circuit was not designed to charge a coin cell and you risk leaking/rupturing of the battery.
