    6-slot (MV6) repair in progress

I would double check continuity of d0-d7 between lower backup ram and lower work ram. They should be connected. Its possible whomever replaced the backup ram before damaged a trace.

I believe its just a bug in the game. The same thing happens if you play the game with the US bios in mame.

    Marquee Cam Lock Issues

Have you tried unscrewing the marquee's metal hinge on the top of the cabinet? That is how I got in my 4 slot (non-big red) locked marquee section.

NEOGEO steering wheel circuit by Tony (Antonio Gonzalez jr.) PCB layout

The forum has been in decline for a number of years now because of it. There seems to be a large chunk of old school users that seem to get off on being assholes. Hard to get/keep new members when people are pricks to them. Why stick around when there are better/more friendly/helpful arcade...

The 5814 were the wrong chips to replace in your case. The address you provided is from the 32k vram chips.

Clean the cart slot on your mv1f and clean the cart edge of your game. They may look clean but there can still be a layer of oxidation on them.

    AES troubleshooting

Its indicating there is an address line issue with the 2k vrams. Its effecting one or more of the A0 to A7 address lines on the 2k vram chips. There are a number of traces that run near the pins of the 2k vram chips, you probably have a bridged solder joint to one of them.

You have a mismatch between your MV1F and your supergun for audio. You have the MV1F is set to stereo while your supergun is jumpered for mono. Try setting them both to stereo or both to mono and see if it helps.

Is your wiring harness jamma or mvs? In your 3rd picture you have the switch set to stereo which might be causing your problem if you have a jamma harness.

Making 1 good 4-slot from two bottom and one top board

The advice I gave was based on the messages the update diag rom generates, which can be found here https://github.com/jwestfall69/neogeo-diag-bios The message in your picture without having a diag cart is an indication the z80 is working fine. If the z80 was dead you would have gotten Z80...
