I’m %100 sure I don’t have another clear record from 1985.

Just got this box set in from my parents for Christmas/new years.
If you like new wave this is one to get. Awesome French band that only did three albums in the 80ties but they are all gold.

If you are interested you can get the box set here:

No pics, but before we left for the weekend i was playing the Dark Souls trilogy on vinyl, those themes sound phenomenal and remind me of the kickass battles in the games themselves. Just need Bloodborne on vinyl and I'll be set.

If you weren’t there at the time of release in the 80s and 90s, PSF Records items are really scarce and often hard to get.
I appreciate these Black Editions re-issues; here’s hoping a wider audience can experience these moments in time.

New Order reissued the Perfect Kiss 12”. This time the cover really is “mirror” instead of silver ink. Also the wax is the clearest of any record I’ve ever owned. I’m not sure how they achieved this. It sounds great so it’s not whatever they make the top layer of picture discs out of.

I got a new “main” (auto) TT for the living room, checking out some random discs last night…

As skeptical as I sometimes am of this weird vinyl resurgence thing we are in the middle of I’m never not grateful for it because there are only so many mint copies of this sort of thing from back in the day still out there. Even an overpriced new copy is better than something you’ll never see in your local used bin if you live to be a hundred.

And the color is wild, man.

In late winter/early spring the sun stays low in the sky.

2M red is a good cart, nice and easy to just switch out up to a black too 👍

It’s certainly not bad, but it won’t be around forever. To me this sounds almost exactly like a DJ cart, high volume, lots of bass…the stage is narrower though somehow, highs and midrange reduced…low midrange is also a little more murky…which doesn’t matter on hiphop but kinda fucks up Yes. It’s…too loud.

This isn’t necessarily the way the cart itself is on its own, but when combined with my specific system which had a lot more definition in some areas when the Grado was installed. I’m not disappointed or anything. I didn’t pay full price, Turntable Lab sells this Denon with the 2M as an optional upgrade. It will always have some job in my house…but I think I need some other family of cartridge eventually.

I *am* a little disappointed in the Denon DP300 that I received…the point of me getting a new auto TT was to replace the extremely tired Panasonic I’ve been using. I didn’t want to have to make repairs to a brand new unit…but that’s what I ended up doing. I probably should have sprung for the Thorens…

I've tried a few carts on my turntable and I still think the M44-7 is amazing. The 9.5 mV output just does it for me. I had 4 other carts before and I gave away 2 of them and I still have a Shure m97xE that this asshat wants 550 bucks for:

I always thought the m97xE was wayyyyy overrated
