I just got a SENGOKU 3 cart with very glitchy graphics. Contacts are pretty clean and I'm going to check the traces on the contact pins. but any ideas on what might cause this ?
Or just a general direction for what I must search?

Unfortunately it looks like one or two of the c roms has been compromised.

The only repair I know of would be some smt chips equivalent to the 8 meg size of each C rom on a dip adapter..or you find another faulty copy with a good C roms.

Thanks for your advice! I started with measuring all the c roms with my multimeter found a broken trace. And now it works perfect

Congrats! You've hit the lottery on this one. It's been a very rare occurrence in my experience if at all that the culprit be a broken track with those CHAFIO pcbs.
A more common problem is the CMC spoiling...
Anything is better than a corrupted C rom above 4 megs on a CHA pcb imo
