First 2 black marble releases were great. 2 or 3 songs on the next release were fine. It's all sucked since.

I was very late in life to give Stevie Wonder a solid listen...I was a fool, that album in particular is amazing.

I can't say I agree...

...but I will say that this particular album is probably three songs too long. Also, he very much has a "sound" now. Whereas the earlier stuff sounded like each song was a ground-up production, this one sounds like...well it sounds like studio time in LA is more expensive that studio time in Ypsilanti, I guess. He doesn't even change the settings on his vocal rig. On the plus side I can play it at more than %40 without hurting my ears, which is a bit of an issue with the earlier stuff. Also the video for Somewhere is just wonderful.

That is only the second roy harper album I've ever listened to. It is clear how much he influenced Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

I just got the Metal Slug X soundtrack in, but the record player is packed away or I'd definitely bump that one.

I could never get into that album.
I get into it, but then I’m a huge Yes fan. It’s pretty much a nonstop wall of virtuosity with almost no pause for anything and no focal points except A3. After a while you can’t figure out what the point is. It’s never bad, in fact it’s always excellent, you just may not care at all.

Nowadays “prog one man bands” are sort of common, and they often have similar issues as this album did. You need people in the band competing with each other for the available sound space to make anything memorable.

The only one of their albums that doesn’t get me depressed. It sounds like the soundtrack for a Galaxy Express 999 or Yamato film that never got made.

This 2016 pressing sucks, the vinyl itself is just not great, seems to have a little crud baked in. It pops a lot, always has. I bet I could buy 100 copies of the 1970 issue and most of them would still sound better. Now it seems like the people cutting records need double the space or you can’t count on anything. The dudes in the 20th century could do amazing things.

Not my favorite of their albums (that would be Wish you were here), their earlier stuff is a bit meh to me.

Wish You Were Here is a masterpiece but also the single most depressing record ever. It should legit have a warning label on it. The content, the context, the chords, all a masterclass in max downer.

Unwinding with a beer and some tunes now that the wife and baby are asleep.

Freddy was a blind buy curiosity. I'm a big NOES fan, but that album isn't much more than a bizarre novelty.

Fun 7 Seconds reissue. The book inside the gatefold was a good read.

This new Neil Young Greatest Hits pressing sounds great and includes most of the songs I want to hear.

The freddy album is way more awesome than it is supposed to be.

I once picked up a copy of that and the Mecco Star Wars Christmas (with a teen Jon Bonjovi) at the same yardsale.
