I traded Paprium for this Pier Solar and some loose Genesis carts for the Tatsujin.

The Curse of Illmoore Bay is a very good game and I'm also enjoying Alex Kidd DX. I'm getting the impression from around the web that people new to Alex Kidd don't like the game very much.

More people need to know about the Curse of Illmore Bay.
Is that clamshell case custom for it? I thought it was just cardboard box.???

There are two versions. I reached out to Second Dimension and asked if I could buy the clamshell version; which was originally for Kickstarter.
They helped me out and let me order one.

I sold my Pier Solar but wanted to let you know that the disc more than likely will not work on your system. Just make a copy of the disc and it'll work fine. Something went wrong with the disc production.

can confirm. I made a CDR from the original and it played fine. Original did not work in any of my Sega CD systems.

What exactly makes it special except sofware. Could you build this from a regular PC?
The only difference between this and a regular PC is the Taito I/O pci express card with it's break out board so you can connect the unit to a cabs JVS or Taito fast I/O.

You also need a serial port header (!) on the motherboard and the front panel connector which comes from the I/O card needs +5v spliced in as it won't get it from the header off a regular motherboard.

So yeah you could use any build if you have the I/O parts. The X3 Multi disk image will work on any PC and has all the X games plus lindbergh, naomi, ringedge/wide and lots more with the NesicaxLive type interface for game select you'd see in Japan. No fucking around included!

Yes! I was thinking about not getting doj, but thought it makes sense just to get all 3.
Not a fan of DOJ ? I like the original on the saturn, but I think this is way to havy. ESP Galuda is fun. Ketsui i still have to try

Thanks guys! I've had the Japanese version for a while and I did make a CDR copy back then.

I still have my Pier Solar Reprint for Genesis and the DC version. I do kinda wish I got in on Paprium years ago when the pre-orders were affordable, but I never did... Don't really know why. I guess I just lost interest.

Well first time I spent over 200 euro on a AES game. Both of these were 840 shipped. Am I'm a big tymer now?
I didn't spent any of my own cash on this. It was entirely purchased with mining money so that is pretty cool. You could say that I should have invested it to make more money down the lane. But to be honest I prefer owning these plastic trinkets over being rich .
Also Skelegod for the new Masters of the Universe/Revelations show.

I've owned Batsugun and Darius Gaiden previously, but sold them... regrettably. Needed to pick up Elevator Action Returns before the price gets even worse than it is now!
