Neo Geo AES No Sprites Or Backgrounds

Hello,

I recently started getting into Neo Geo and bought an AES.

The first few power ones, I was able to get garbled graphics, but afterwards all there ever was is text. No proper Neo Geo boot etc. I can see all the writing when booting up a game.

I've tried cleaning the cartridge slots, installing a diagnostic BIOS(gave me error VRAM 2K DEAD OUTPUT (UPPER)), so I replaced the 2x5814 but am still seeing the same error. I looked around for broken traces and such but couldn't find anything.

EXPECTED: 0000

From what I read the only next option is to replace the LSPC2-A2.

Is there somewhere I can find this chip and also is there other steps I can do for troubleshooting?

I would check the 2k upper vram and make sure OE/CE lines are pulsing.

I found the problem, there was a trace broken and the replacement VRAM chips that I bought were all broken. The original ones worked.

All the chips you bought were broken? That's either the shittiest deal on the planet or perhaps they weren't compatible

It was the same part number. Not sure why either.
